My Daughter did 2 tours in Iraq. 11 months and 14 months.

One of my daughters was in a "Combat Support" unit, stationed well North of Seoul, ROK. If that situation had gone bad while she was there, she would have been in combat, right then. Women "supporting" "combat arms" fight with them, but do not earn the same recognition, such as "Combat Infantry Badge" because they were not allowed to have the Infantry MOS designation. The current change merely recognizes the reality that already exists. Pray for a day when diplomacy and good-will makes combat an unnecessary option when dealing with other people and nations in the world.
