You are right, there is nothing wrong with raising taxes to pay for the necessary services provided by the government as outlined in the State and Federal Constitutions - as long as everyone proportionately shares in the payments.

To this time, neither Gov GoogleyEyes nor the Messiah have come close to meeting those criteria.

That number was before some of the taxes proposed in the legislature by the DFL representatives this session. We can still make #1.
