There should be some shame in using Food Stamps. Then we might not have generation after generation of people using them.

The reality of the situation is that what was supposed to be a temporary safety net is now yet another "right" for those that have figured out that they really don't have to work as long as they vote Democrap. FIFTY million people collecting SNAP(food stamps)!

Right you are. Welfare and food stamps are not there to serve those who have paid into it who may need some help during a temporary hardship. It's there to serve those who have never paid a dime into the system, and the more long term, the better. It's nothing more than a mechanism to buy votes. Period. End of story.

What the left wing, bleeding heart, most likely non tax paying posters seem to be ignoring is that neither the woman, who has a job, nor her husband actually qualified for food stamps. They had to use their 20-something son, who still lives at home, to get them. He has a 'handicap' the nature of which was missing from the article. Maybe he has a drug problem, ADD, or some other phony disability. Also, the nature of the spouses' surgery wasn't mentioned. It could have been a face-lift for all we know.
Typical left wing reporting about this poor woman who's daughter thought she overheard someone criticize EBT. Call the press! Oh, right, she did.

The only disability that most folks on the dole have is being lazy and unwilling to work. They are happy living off the labor of others.

I'm glad you qualify your statement with "most", because the generalization of ALL is disgustingly inaccurate. Just what percentage is "most, by the way? What of those that are not in the "most" category? The problem is you lump them in with the "most" and bash them mercilessly. You still JUDGE them to be LESS THAN. Don't deny it. You've made your opinions of such in hardship, abundantly clear for decades now, and with pride.

I am not the author of the article. But, what if I were? Would you say the things you feel, your assumptions and contempt of me (her, in this instance) that you spout on here, to my face? You may say ON HERE that you would/will, but would you, really? I mean, you're SO SURE of my/their circumstances, and that I/they/we could ONLY be scamming the system.. scamming you... right?
