Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano issued a stern warning about the impending sequester cuts, telling reporters Monday that they could make the U.S. more vulnerable to a terrorist attack. In addition to spending cuts to the Pentagon and the Justice Department, Napolitano said the $85 billion sequester would reduce Coast Guard patrols, increase wait times at ports and decrease the number of beds available for immigration detentions.I dont think we can maintain the same level of security at all places around the country with sequester compared to without sequester, she said. The cuts are set to kick in Friday.- See more at: http://www.truthdig.com/eartotheground/item/c...

So was that warning given after her department let hundreds of illegal immigrants out of detention?

Duh, she let them go before the sequester hit, maybe a month or two before a financial case could even be made for letting detained illegal immigrants go.

Too bad the sequester was Obama's idea and was approved with almost total support from both parties. Go ask Bob Woodward about the games Obama and the Democrats are playing.

This could get interesting. Obama pissed Woodward off pretty good and he is falling out of the leftist media ranks. He may just become the straw that breaks the camel's back.

HSA is a failure in the first place and a redundant organization. I don't think we will miss them much if they fold. And why do they always "cry wolf" when they are about to deal with funding cuts? They act just like every other public sector union and threaten the worst case scenario in order to frighten the public in to giving them their way.

Teachers Union: Cutting funding will mean layoffs for teachers, larger class sizes, school closings. It will harm the kids. We need bigger salaries and pensions.

Police and fire unions: Crime and fire will run rampant if you don't raise our salaries and benefits.

Now HSA: If we have to cut back, the terrorists will win and you will all be dead traitors.

Right.

Cutting the HSA budget will make us safer.

Cutting teacher budgets will improve learning in our schools.

Cutting back on police and fire protection will make us safer and better protected.

Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds?

Thank God America disagrees with you.
