Minnesota's same-sex marriage fight rolling toward the Capitol

Same-sex marriage supporters are preparing to roll out House and Senate proposals as early as February. Opponents stand ready to resist.

The marriage equality bill may be introduced soon, but they likely won't take any action on them until much later in the year.

They're trying to avoid making the same mistakes the GOPasaurs made when they took control.

Minnesota, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinios, Rhode Island, & New Jersey are all on track for marriage equality in '13 or '14.

Those are the "easy" ones with Dem controlled legislatures supportive Govs (except NJ). Once we see what the SCOTUS is going to do with Prop 8 we'll need to decide how to move forward in states with constitutional bans- i.e. Oregon, Colorado, Michigan, Ohio, etc.

IF the SCOTUS upholds Prop8 (IF), then we're looking at a long hard expensive state-by-state battle moving forward.

We need to be preparing NOW for that possibility.
