Now they'll have to put warning signs on all the train cars

How are they going to see that when they are texting with their headphones on? These are the same kinds of people that go hiking in Grizzly country with a dead salmon strapped to their back.

I'd say ban head phones when within 20 feet of a road, LRT bus line.

What will happen in winter when cars etc are slipping into trains etc?

The Green Line was a designed disaster.

Well they are dangerous, arn't they? There are laws in place against driving with headphones on why not walking with head phones on? Nobody wants to run over someone with headphones on or for any other reason, ban them!! And nobody wants to be run over because they are wearing head phones, ban them!!

We just can't ban everything so the obvious solution is to allocate several billion dollars to elevate the trains above street level. Oh, and a few new round-a bouts couldn't hurt either.

Elevated trains would be an improvement but the Green Line is doomed by design. Government took a LRT route and ran it down the middle of a busy road with tons of pedestrian traffic and motor vehicle traffic. Their choice of trains was designed to transport people moderate distances with miles between stops. Of course once proposed the Green Line was deemed to not have enough stops soo the Gobernut added stops, totaling 23 now, not counting the stops needed clean up the smeared pedestrians killed by the Green Line and motor vehicles smashed by the Green Line.

Of course the Gobernut started Green Line operations in the spring with nice weather and no snow/ice to complicate operations. Recall even during testing a Green Line car ran off the track in St Paul, too much snow. Welcome to St Paul snow removal Green Line. I suppose the Gobernut WILL make sure there are no more snow derailments for the Green Line this winter. Snow WILL probably cause cars and pedestrians to slip and slide into Green Line cars, oh what fun. And those snow removal trucks needed by the Green Line will pulled from motor vehicle streets, oh what fun!!

Notice there are NO round-a-bouts on the Green Line route, we save those for motor vehicle routes, even thou the Motor Vehicle Sales Tax is dedicated to mass transit, the Green Line.

IF Mn Gobernut had one ounce of brainpower the highways would be twice the size and there would be NO killer LRT.

Chalk up another great success story for crony capitalism.

The woman committed suicide!! And many more people will be doing the same thing after there taxes go up.I am waiting for them to put cow catchers on the train. Now who would have thought the train would take that long with only 23 stops. There fix will be to green lite the green line at the expense of the evil auto.Back in the 60's there were more people living in St.Paul than there are now & does that tell you some thing.

The Green Line WILL BE green lighted. With 225 runs per day once the Green Line is green lighted Uni Ave will resemble a wall to traffic and pedestrians. However the Green Line WILL make it from end to end in 48 mins or less.

One with an IQ of 12 or greater sees the stupidity of the Green Line. And just wait until winter arrives with ice and snow added to the complexity. All the people with ear muffs on running in the cold temps, will be interesting.

Of course the Green Line supporters blame motorists and pedestrians for everything that happens on their beloved Green Line, how could the Green Line be bad?? Speed can be gotten by tripping the opticons for Green Line speed, don't worry about EMS and Police and Fire using the opticon for emergencies, they can wait. The Green Line can't wait!! And it takes the Green Line 300 feet to stop, just like any train does. The Green Line should be called the "Train of Death".

Comes to Uni. Death and destruction follows.

Once Green Line (Blight Rail) has the Green lite everyone else will have a red light, pedestrians, cars, trucks, motorcycles, bikes, joggers, etc will all have to wait for the Phyils Kahn express.

Of course IF anyone dares get in front of a Blight Rail car they will be killed, and the Blight Rail will take 300 feet to stop after the killing, isn't that like leaving the scene of an accident?

How about instead of banning everything so that dumb people don't kill themselves..........We just take the warning labels off of everything and let nature take its course. The dumb people will kill themselves and as a bonus social security will no longer be in trouble!!!

Better ban talking on phones while, walking, too.
Or, they could just ban pedestrians. It'd be easier to enforce. All pedestrians get run over trains. Auto drivers are on their own, we"ll soon need an insurance clause rider to cover damage done to cars by the train. Everybody pays more, auto body shops & insurance companies will rake in the dough. Then the city will start applying fees to them to take in more money to pay the operating costs of the LRT. Everybody wins except the ordinary average guy, as usual.

Green Line got stuck on the tracks today. Power went out or some other reason. It was stuck for 2+hours. Can't wait for this winter when snow is deep, ice is thick, temps are -40.

Green Line had a nice summer, not too hot and no disasters to block tracks, other than blind deaf and dumb idiots who insist on getting on the tracks to see if the train will stop. It takes 300 feet to stop when at speed. And the train ALWAYS WINS any contest.

I don't understand, don't they have bathrooms on the Green Line? Can't they just use human waste to fuel the train when the power goes out? I saw Ed Begley Jr do it on his green show.
