I have to run background checks on all job candidates to maintain my bonding insurance. Not being able to ask the question on the application means more time wasted on candidates that cannot be hired.<quoted text>
In the current times, you would be foolish not to run a background check on anyone you are serious about hiring.
We do not run background checks prior to the first interview. However, before they are invited back for a 2nd one, we typically know more about the candidate than they do about themselves.
