4 in 5 in US face near-poverty, no work:

WASHINGTON (AP)— Four out of 5 U.S. adults struggle with joblessness, near poverty or reliance on welfare for at least parts of their lives, a sign of deteriorating economic security and an elusive American dream.

Survey data exclusive to The Associated Press points to an increasingly globalized U.S. economy, the widening gap between rich and poor and loss of good-paying manufacturing jobs as reasons for the trend.

The findings come as President Barack Obama tries to renew his administration's emphasis on the economy, saying in recent speeches that his highest priority is to "rebuild ladders of opportunity" and reverse income inequality.

Hardship is particularly on the rise among whites, based on several measures. Pessimism among that racial group about their families' economic futures has climbed to the highest point since at least 1987. In the most recent AP-GfK poll, 63 percent of whites called the economy "poor."

While racial and ethnic minorities are more likely to live in poverty, race disparities in the poverty rate have narrowed substantially since the 1970s, census data show. Economic insecurity among whites also is more pervasive than is shown in government data, engulfing more than 76 percent of white adults by the time they turn 60, according to a new economic gauge being published next year by the Oxford University Press.

Expected, Obama has pimped blacks since he was elected. He don't care about whites, even his own mother.

Deny, defer, deflect, deceive, deride, disparage, disdain, dodge. And lie over and over again. Never address the actual topic of the thread.
It is all he/she/it knows. Oh, and plagiarize.
No respect, no honor and no capacity for original thinking.
Unable to admit that G.W. Obama is a very clear reflection of his predecessor. Also unable to admit that electing some one because of his skin color and/or his party affiliation are bad ideas. Dubya must be so proud.

The private sector has now added jobs for 31 consecutive months, and there are more than 600,000 more total jobs than there were when Obama took office, even though the public sector continues to lag behind.

At the same point in his administration, President George W. Bush’s record wasn’t as positive. Through 44 months, the private sector had lost more than 1 percent of its jobs (under Obama, it has gained 0.46 percent), and the only reason Bush could claim positive overall growth was because the public sector had grown by almost 4 percent.

Both presidents experienced recessions early in their terms, but the Center for American Progress shows, the labor market has recovered faster under Obama even though the Great Recession was deeper and more painful than the 2001 recession:

The American Dream is now The Mexicans Dream. Soon you will see legless dwarfs selling Chiclets on this side of the border.

"Some of this activity is profoundly depressing: barefoot Indian mothers and their children begging for handouts, legless men on skateboards selling Chiclets for spare change."

And let's not forget the Donkey show!

Being the Government can only find 4 pimps in Minnesota it seems like going to work as a pimp would be a good career change.
