Those who have Obamaphones

Those who want nothing to do with "WORK", Republicans pitch
Those who think it's wonderful to get free stuff from Government
Add them all up and they are a majority..
However at some point the taxpayers will get tired of paying for those who refuse to work especially when the Government runs out of money to buy all those free things.

2007-2008. The political left uses demagogues to win power. Despite dozens of urgent problems facing the US, the DFL forces the ACA through congress the first chance they get with a voting majority. It is flawed, but sold to the masses as the only possible solution to our health care woes. The DFL stakes all political capital on this one issue for unknown reasons and designs the law to escalate very slowly into 2018.
2009-2014. The left vilifies all opposition. Left leaning activists turn the masses against anyone that suggests the ACA to be a bad idea. This becomes useful during attempts to repeal it over the next five years.
2014-2015. In the years leading up to 2016, as the ACA takes hold and public perception turns, the left continues to blame the opposition in any way possible. The DFL positions themselves as the only party that cares for the individual and begin to blur the distinction between public and private insurers on the complicated and trouble plagued website. Liberal activists begin to defend the idea of the healthcare system in place in other countries, citing them as ideal.
2016. Hillary Clinton runs in 2016 on a platform of 'strengthening' the ACA while only acknowledging its minor flaws. She is vague while giving details, regardless of GOP attacks during the campaign. Again, the left defames the opposition in any way necessary and continues to enforce the idea of 'government insurance' to the uninformed masses. Activists continue to muse about European style healthcare in all media.
2017. The decade long campaign of demagogy results in another DFL majority in 2017, with Clinton in the Oval as the first female President. Frustration with the ACA is at peak, with voters demanding that Clinton fix what she promised. Polls show an exhausted public may be resigned to accept the European idea.
2017. The ACA collapses in Q2 2017, when states allow businesses with 100+ employees into the exchange who then drop millions from coverage, setting the stage to spread panic and providing the opportunity to move to single payer as a desperate fix for the ACA. It is forced on congress quickly with little time to debate on the measure.
2017. ClintonCare is passed, a complete federal takeover not of the healthcare industry, but of the health insurance industry. In bailing out the troubled insurance companies and rescuing millions of patients, the US becomes the largest single insurer of its citizens, finally in control of a profitable governmental branch, as well as acting as the regulator of the industry it serves.
2018. Insurance company execs staff the new department by Q4 2017 and immediately work to maximize the government investment by any means necessary. Income tax refunds evaporate as 'premiums, copays or deductibles' on government health insurance, as regulators start to tighten restrictions to drive down payments to providers. Providers have no choice but to take what the government gives them and care declines. Black market hospitals gain popularity as care centers clog with patients.
2018. Finally able to provide equal care to every American, the government now fully embraces the idea of manipulating the medical benefits ratio to the utmost extent. As care continues to decline, profits to the Fed soar into the tens of billions by Q2 2018. Despite healthcare being worse than ever, ClintonCare is labeled a success.
2019. The poor quality of healthcare allows the DFL to sell the idea of increased taxation to improve it. An already over taxed citizenry obliges, trusting the party that has brought them equal care, but commerce halts. The economy stalls due to a total lack of consumer spending power. Worldwide confidence in the dollar disappears in days and panic ensues, followed by the collapse of the economy by the end of Clinton's first term.

It looks like New Jersey residents think on-line gambling is a safer bet than the Affordable Care Act.

The GOP is not the Tea Party. Only the left wants to combine and denegrate them as one. The truth is that the Tea Party started out as bipartisan advocates of responsible fiscal policy. The GOP doesn't want to repeal Obamacare, so they are not your enemy. Both sides are too completely corrupt for anything to change now.

I refer you to a thread I started earlier this year that explains that the GOP will need to nominate a woman in 2016 in order to have any chance whatsoever. The DFL demagogue machine has become too powerful with its activists and media and will paint any voter 'sexist' in 2016 for daring to vote against her, just as voters were shamed into voting for Obama or be called 'racist'.

This will happen against any white male the GOP nominates. The only males that might have a chance and be able to diffuse this type of DFL strategy would be Bobby Jindal or Colin Powell. The smartest thing the GOP could do would be to nominate a female minority like Mia Love or Susana Martinez.

That would put fear into the hearts of the DFL because it would force them to campaign just on the issues and take sexism, racism and elitism off the table.

ObamaCare created a Medicaid time bomb:

The good news, if you want to call it that, is that roughly 1.6 million Americans have enrolled in ObamaCare so far.

The not-so-good news is that 1.46 million of them actually signed up for Medicaid. If that trend continues, it could bankrupt both federal and state governments.

Medicaid is already America’s third-largest government program, trailing only Social Security and Medicare, as a proportion of the federal budget.

...

While Medicaid costs taxpayers a lot of money, it pays doctors very little. On average, Medicaid only reimburses doctors 72 cents out of each dollar of costs. ObamaCare does attempt to address this by temporarily increasing Medicaid reimbursements for primary-care doctors, but that increase expires at the end of next year.

Dayton calls MNsure issues unacceptable:

In recent days, the MNsure call center has been flooded with calls that have resulted in expected wait times of 60 minutes.
Trouble at the call center follows poor performance last week by the MNsure website, as state and county workers reran thousands of applications for coverage to double-check the accuracy of eligibility determinations.

Also last week, the trade group for health insurers in Minnesota warned that problems with data being transmitted by MNsure to carriers threatened their ability to provide coverage on Jan. 1.

MNsure executive director April Todd-Malmlov took a two-week vacation in November to Costa Rica. In response, Ben Golnik of the Minnesota Jobs Coalition said in a news release: "It is very concerning that MNsure's top official left her post for two weeks, with new issues arising almost daily."

In an interview earlier this month, Todd-Malmlov said she was in contact with her staff every day of the vacation, adding that MNsure officials knew how to contact her when needed.

"People take time off routinely," Todd-Malmlov said. Of the timing of the trip, she said: "I really don't think this was a crisis time."

MNsure board chairman Brian Beutner said in an interview earlier this month that he didn't have a problem with Todd-Malmlov's vacation. When asked about it Thursday, Dayton said that Todd-Malmlov had worked "extraordinarily hard," and that he understood the vacation was long-planned.

Politics is a very incestuous business.

April Todd-Malmlov might have "resigned" but she is not gone. BTW, no one is talking about her severance package. Why do you think that is?

She will show up again in about 6 months on a government payroll of some form or another.

Late Thursday, the White House announced that individual policy holders who received termination notices could qualify for a hardship exemption and buy catastrophic plans on the exchanges. And, after pressure from the administration, insurers announced applicants could pay their first month's premiums as late as Jan. 10 and receive coverage retroactive to Jan. 1.

SO, this just enforces the FACT that Cruz was right all along...
