ALL responsible hunters sight their rifles in before season. Thanks for admitting you are a irresponsible Wabbitt hunter. You obviously learned from your deadbeat dad on how to be a deadbeat.
You are just a stupid, vegan, idiot loser who is clueless about marksmanship skills. Go find somewhere else to spew your worthless comments about something you know so little about.

I roger that. I bagged a nice buck a few years ago that charged me, I literally shot him holding my rifle at the hip, without using ANY sights, iron or scope. Shot him dead center in the chest, from about 10 feet away, and it flipped him over backwards.
Sure you did ......right poor Bambi she got shot by Dead-eye dick the slowest draw this side of the MS river, tell us some more fish tales Dead Eye!

Responsible hunters know that with a deer rifle, one good bump can knock the accuracy of the scope off, so it is imperative check its accuracy yearly at a range, not in the field.
If the scope happens to be knocked off kilter, digger would rather find out when shooting at a deer, and instead of hitting it in the boiler room, you either miss it or wound the animal.
You should not own a rifle.

I look at it a little differently NOTA. Sin taxes do precisely what they are intended to do and that is bring in revenue. And for the most part it is done by hiding behind the guise of helping people or trying to discourage unhealthy behaviors.(or saving children)
I seriously doubt there is ever any intent to reduce things like smoking and drinking. That would be counter productive to the raising of revenue in the first place. There are probably some kind of "actuarial tables" they use to calculate the "tax hike to deterrent ratio" so they raise the taxes just high enough to compensate for the few people who will actually be deterred from the sins in the first place. Does that make any sense to you?
Excellent points I defer to my wiser poster

If this is the case, you are an irresponsible hunter.
Without taking the deer rifle to the range just BEFORE Deer season to check it's accuracy, you have no idea if the gun is sighted in.
Comprende?
Let me know where you hunt so I can stay the hell away.
I've never lost a deer once I shot at it. You can judge me by any standards you want but you need to hunt whittail and report back your luck. I've been hunting 45 years.

Again when the target is 20 yards away if a gun is off by even 6 inches you still hit the vital area and kill the animal.

Don't worry about hunting near me because you would be trespassing and might be shot for the violation. We have gun ranges on the perimiters of our property and use them all the time, of course behind "Keep Out" signs.

Who was Talking TO You?

Do you remember when it was that you developed the overwhelming NEED to be a "Burr in the Azz of Humanity"? A Tick that needs to be put under a match is of more value than you.

Is it a part of your Disease which causes you to not realize how useless you are as a Human Being, and why all who encounter you wish Death to you?

We all know you have no life and no chance to attain one.....Why don't YOU know this?

(Just look at what you wrote here, nothing, you wrote nothing but "Please Notice Me, Me, Me,". It is all you live for, why bother "living"?

We obviously differ in our approach, and I've shot deer over 200 yards which justifies my attitude on sighting in a rifle.
You don't need a rifle at 20 yards, a shotgun slug would be more appropriate.
You say you don't sight in your rifle, then just now say you have gun ranges on the perimeters of your property. What do you shoot there? Sling shots and hot 100?

The subject of the thread is increasing the cost of ammo by hitting it with a 500% tax.

My comments were directed at the fact that when shooting at close range you don't need to be sighted in at 200 yards. Iron sights never need to be sighted in because they never change. My M100 has an old Redfield 4X and it holds it sightin pretty good. The last long shot I took was off hand at about 150 yards and hit the spike right in the heart.

Going forward if ammo is taxed to death target shooting and sighting in a hunting gun may be out of the question.

Another offshoot of increasing prices of ammo, probably some animals not being hit in the vitals and living until infection sets in to die a slow death.

We use our perimiter ranges on different days depending on wind and sun, weather conditions. Of course if there are tresspassers we sometimes send a crack past them.

Other times we just flatten their tires.

You don't understand Jack Pine law.

If you lived up north you'd be burned out of your house.

Like they did with Katie Porrier's killer, burned him out!

Who was Talking TO You?

Please stick to the disturbingly retarded blather that you and Red Reamer use in communicating. Do not attempt to talk to the Adults that pay for your room at the Asylum, they are sickened to know that YOU are what they pay to sustain, when Barry Soetoro confiscates their wealth.

Well, unlike YOU, I don't throw my deer rifle around like a toy. If the scope is PROPERLY MOUNTED, it should not be altered with CAREFUL HANDLING.
