WASHINGTON, D.C.-- U.S. unemployment, as measured by Gallup without seasonal adjustment, is 7.3% in mid-October, down considerably from 7.9% at the end of September and at a new low since Gallup began collecting employment data in January 2010. Gallup's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate is 7.7%, also down from September. October's adjusted mid-month measure is also more than a percentage point lower than October 2011.

It's a PHONY figure, brought on by the desperation of the obama campaign... Check out the figures about those who have given up looking for a job, and those who are working one or two or THREE PART-TIME jobs to eke out a living, or those who have found a new full-time job, but are getting paid substantially LESS than their older, HIGHER paying jobs, and the figures don't look so ROSY. The obama campaign is digging up every bit of "positive data", i.e. housing starts, driving down gas prices somewhat, to try to convince the American people that his policies are FINALLY starting to "bear fruit". NONSENSE. The "fiscal cliff" is still looming, as are MASSIVE TAX INCREASES at the end of the year, which will not be addressed in a reasonable manner. I even heard that obama told the EPA to DELAY NEW rules until AFTER the end of the year, so as to not upset the business community or wreck the unemployment figures. Go figure....

Galup is a CONSERVATIVE poll, not a left leaning poll.

You wingnuts start crying "conspiracy" before you even know the details.
