Tim Huelskamp (R-KS) is one of four Republicans who fell victim to a "purge," in his words, of committee seats by House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) this week for bucking leadership over the last term. On Friday, Huelskamp signaled that he would not be going quietly, via a signed letter to Boehner:
We write to request a full and complete written explanation of the rationale for removing us from our current committee assignments, including any "scorecards" presented to the Steering Committee to justify our removals.
Reps. Justin Amash (R-MI) and David Schweikert (R-AZ) were also signatories to the letter, which you can read in full here. They expect an answer by Monday, December 10th.
