Ponder sucks.

Lame Elvis grbac who was drafted in 8th round is better than ponder

Vikings will regret drafting ponder again this year....and the next....

Hard to replace harvin. 1 st round (not even top 10) pick for harvin is a steal.

I haven't looked at the comic pages in years. What the hell does a fictional character have to do with the topic?

Antoine Winfield released by Minnesota Vikings

Vikings general manager Rick Spielman now has freed up money for a serious run at free-agent wide receivers Mike Wallace and Greg Jennings. In so doing, Spielman severely has hampered his team's ability to make a run at the playoffs for a second consecutive season.

Vikings cut Winfield but want him back for less
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.(AP)- The Minnesota Vikings have cut cornerback Antoine Winfield to save money under the NFL salary cap.

General manager Rick Spielman confirmed Tuesday the release of the popular Winfield, whose hard-hitting style, extensive experience and exceptional tackling ability made him the soul of the team's defense for the last nine seasons. Spielman declined to be specific but said the Vikings want to re-sign the 35-year-old if they can. Spielman said he spoke with the 15-year veteran and had "a very good conversation."

Winfield's playing time was reduced in 2012 to preserve his health, but he had one of the most productive seasons of his career with 11 tackles for loss, three interceptions and 13 passes defended. He was due a $7.25 million salary in 2013.

Packers, Vikings battling over Greg Jennings?

Aside from Mike Wallace's quick signing in Miami, the wide receiver market has been notably quiet on Tuesday. That may change soon.

Alex Marvez of FoxSports.com that the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers have both expressed interest in signing Jennings. Ian Rapoport of NFL.com has been reporting that the Packers have tried to re-sign Jennings throughout the last week.

It's interesting that former Packers coordinator Joe Philbin was not that interested in bringing Jennings to Miami. It doesn't appear that there is a huge market for Jennings at the moment, but a good old division rivalry could spart a bidding battle. The Vikings are desperate at wide receiver after trading Percy Harvin and re-signing Jerome Simpson.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette says that Jennings could re-sign with the Packers if he hasn't found a deal he likes elsewhere by midnight.(Translation: Improve your offer, Vikings.)

The Packers don't need to extend themselves because they are deep at wide receiver with Jordy Nelson, James Jones, and Randall Cobb. Jones was expected to leave Green Bay two years ago, but didn't find any great offers available in free agency.

It's possible Jennings will experience the same thing.

If you ever come to Green Bay I will beat a hole in your head and patch it with cement. A couple of smacks to your head might jump start your brain.

One reason a freak like you would come here is to watch black men in tights play with balls. That's what turns you on in your pathetic little life.
