The "tax" was money we were already paying, it just filled some important cracks for poorer or special circumstance Americans. You know, the 47% your party hates.

So what did you think of the SCOTUS pretty much dodging the decision on the ACA? In one sense, they placed blame for yet another new tax squarely on Obama. But they still dodged the idea that the feds have the power to force people to purchase a product or service.
I totally disagreed with their decision regarding the ACA. But we are stuck with it and will all pay a price for that down the road.

I am old enough that this will not have a hge impact upon me. But it will upon my kids, their kids, and their kid's kids. This is a bad move and only going to get worse.

4 justices said the American government said the government had the right to make citizens buy something, 4 justices said the government did not have the right to make the citizens buy something, and one lone justice that called it a tax, hence siding with the 4 that forced purchases. Not exactly a mandate, unless you are an Obama supporter, and therefore very bad at math.

It's not their math skill that are at issue. It is rather the quantity of kool aid they consume that tends to destroy their ability to think objectively.

That "bush appointee" pointed the finger squarely back at Obama and his admin for instituting a huge new set of taxes on both business and private citizens. Remember, it's not a fee, it's a tax. And an unjust one at that.

It's a tax on people who don't want to purchase insurance that will be enforced by the IRS. If that's not a tax, what is it? If you don't pay it the IRS has the option to imprison you? Sounds like a tax to me. And also to Justice Roberts.

So what if it is a tax dummy,it's still cheaper then any insurance premium right or wrong, plus the ACA haven't even been implemented yet so stop with the gloom and doom, chicken little.

Except, if you pay the tax to the IRS, you are paying money for no coverage, so it is worse than not having insurance, math whiz.

I don't think so.

You would be hard pressed to find a medical provider that is not owned, in part or in total, by one of the large health providers. That means they are now non-profits. And it is becomming increasingly more common as we move into the era of Obamacare.

My own doctor retired last year and they sold their clinic off to North Memorial.

He explained to me shortly after Obamacare was passed that this is no longer a business where you can provide individualized care. And the limitations on doctors will become so cumbersome that the good ones will leave medicine all together rather than provide mediocre (but cost concious) care to their patients.

Rather than provide poor care to his patients, he said the heck with working and is now living in a nice beach home on the island of Lanai.

Let's see, idiot, moron, dummy. You're kind of a rude bastard aren't you. And as non-starter mentioned, those people who have to pay that tax don't get anything for that unfair tax they are expected to pay, or go to jail.
