This is the line that failed in 1987 because NOBODY was riding it. Now with the Hinkley Casino it is projected 2/3 of riders will be using the train to get to the Indian Casino.
Soooo 2/3 of the riders will simply be riding it to the Casino.
What a joke!!
Here's a simple solution: spend $700,000,000 on a Casino in DT Minneapolis. Give it to the Indians. BTW give the Indians $10,000,000 a year to fund payouts at the Minneapolis Casino.
The net result would be a better solution than building a rail line to the Casino in Hinkley. PLUS we wouldn't need to spend $20,000,000 a year to keep the rail line functioning.
