As we the People lament what is happening to Cypriot's by their Collectivist Government (By the orders of Demokrat Socialists in Europe), remember what was confiscated for reparations in 2008 to start the Soetoro Abominations of 2008-2016.

"Underwater" is part of the language today.

Underwater is a direct result of Government involvement in the Banking Systems, the manipulation of Fiat Money, the picking of winners and losers by the Government (vs the "Marketplace")and would not have happened if Real Money represented Real Wealth.

In 2008 I saw what was coming.

The Bank of Amerika was given $50,000,000 (Billion!) to buy up Countrywide Mortgage, after Barney Frank and Chris Dodd destroyed the US Housing Market via Fannie and Freddie.

My "Bank Account" (My Home) was "raided" for $150,000 dollars. This was about 45% of my homes "Value".

I did not put the Fruits of my Labor (That is Money, Demokrats) into a bank account, I "banked" it in my home.

THE GOVERNMENT took my $150,000 and gave it to The Bank of Amerika and the rest of the Thieves.

BUT!

I played the game. I tried to do a "short sale". I was willing to lose the $45,000 that I had just put into my "Bank". Bank of Amerika had no reason to deal with me, and chose not too.

I said Fauch YOU!

Contracts go two ways....Barney, Chris, Barry, and their Handlers at The Bank of Amerika got my house back "Under Contract".

I made a 5 year plan, built our home on a nice piece of land, sacrificed for the past 5 years, and in 5 months we will make our last payment on our Contract for Deed.

Please note;

I built our home in a State where the Government will not force us from our home with excessive Taxation.

Minnesota and you Defective Demokrats ain't gittin' this Free Mans Wealth!

You are just a real estate speculator who gambled and lost, now you are looking for somebody to blame.

You also don't know much about European politics. The people who dictated the bailout terms to Cyprus were Eurobankers and Angela Merkel, i.e. Europe's conservatives.

There is also the little matter of about half of all that money in Cyprus banks belonging to Russians, a lot of them Robber Barons and mafia types. Small depositors, which most real Cypriots are, did not lose anything.

Of course, the EU could have just Cyprus's banks go under, then all of the depositors would have lost everything.

Rocket Scientist,

Real estate speculator?

1. Homeowner in Amerika Today investing his labor and wealth into his community via a home and taxes paid to enrich the lives of mine and my neighbors children is not (was not) "speculation" as defined by the Leftist Elitists that manipulate Markets under the Throne of The Messiah's Handlers.

2. Stealing from the Productive that EARN Wealth is still stealing. Whehter done by the Social Demokrats (Socialists) in Europe, or by Collectivists for Redistribution and Reparations by Demokrats (Socialists) in Amerika.

3. Are the Robber Barron's in Amerika a "different" kind of thiff than European Robber Barron's?

Home ownership used to be 'the American Dream,' now, according to liberal cultists, it's just a real estate speculation.
Please tell that to your friends in the Occupy Homes Movement who are blaming the banks.

We can put light where there's darkness, and hope where there's despondency in this country. And part of it is working together as a nation to encourage folks to own their own home."
- President George W. Bush, Oct. 15, 2002
The global financial system was teetering on the edge of collapse when Bush and his economics team huddled in the Roosevelt Room of the White House for a briefing that, in the words of one participant, "scared the hell out of everybody."
It was Sept. 18. Lehman Brothers had just gone belly-up, overwhelmed by toxic mortgages. Bank of America had swallowed Merrill Lynch in a hastily arranged sale. Two days earlier, Bush had agreed to pump $85 billion into the failing insurance giant American International Group.
The president listened as Ben Bernanke, chairman of the Federal Reserve, laid out the latest terrifying news: The credit markets, gripped by panic, had frozen overnight, and banks were refusing to lend money.
Then his Treasury secretary, Henry Paulson Jr., told him that to stave off disaster, he would have to sign off on the biggest government bailout in history. Bush, according to several people in the room, paused for a single, stunned moment to take it all in.
"How," he wondered aloud, "did we get here?"
WOW!

I am impressed that YOU were able to Google something to post.

Of course your ignorance causes you to be useless on the issue, but that is what we expect from someone like you who has never had an original thought, and is so ashamed of her Anatomical Shortcomings that you live to make everyone "pay" for what Uncle Daddy did to you.

Go away and let the Adults have a conversation!

I believe that Americans and their Grandchildren are up to about $125,000 apiece, so far, to pay for the Kenyan Type Redistribution that Barry Soetoro presides over.

This, combined with the massive redistribution of wealth from the theft of Homeowner Values, pretty much makes Amerika akin to Cyprus.
