Fletchers? Nice view of a small channel and fun place - but how about Maynards view of Excelsior bay?

We spent a Friday night happy hour on the patio at Sweeneys and spotted quite a few "Celebs" there.

I've always been a fan of Sargent Prestons at 7 Corners by the UofMN. Nothing is better then a fish bowl on a nice summer night.

Agreed. Last time I sat on a patio, I had a chain smoker next to me -- and dang near had an asthma attack.

If not for the extra round of 2-for-1's that night, there might have been some issues!

Unfortunately, patio dining is less enjoyable since we have yet to fully protect patrons (and employees) from smoking.

This Top 25 list should only include smoke-free patio dining.

I hope that none of these places allow filthy smokers near the place because it's "outside." If any of them do, they should be shut down immediately.

I agree with the smoking ban in doors and in restaurants. But now your just being a baby! The smokers got pushed outside, leave them alone now! Stay in doors, the is now fully smoke free.

If your post was sarcasm then please disregard my rant.

You forgot lutefisk and cream of mushroom soup on everything. But you indeed get the win!

The Lookout Bar and Grill in Maple Grove should be on this list. This list is meaningless if they don't even know about the best outdoor patio for families in the metro

Personally I like the view from Stillwater Prison in the yard.Nothing like a PBJ sandwich and razor wire to set the mood.

As I told The Onion in an earlier interview, you really should thank us smoking ban advocates. Look at all the great new patios in Twin Cities now!

What about Billy's in St. Paul? Clearly should be on the bar patio list.

Jesse,

I don't think I should be forced inside to enjoy healthy, clean air. That makes no sense. I should be able to sit outside and enjoy a meal

I am sure there are other inappropriate public activites that are not allowed that you disagree with, but obscene behavior is offensive and should not be allowed in public, anywhere.
