Why do Minnesota people pay money to eat crap? Next time have your Mexicans wash their hands before making your din din. You're not letting Somalis make your salads are you? We all know how they wipe.

State health officials are investigating an apparent E. coli outbreak that has sickened 13 Minnesotans and sent four to the hospital.

Seven of the patients reported eating at Applebee’s restaurants in Woodbury, Roseville, Blaine, Monticello and Duluth between June 24 and June 27, the Minnesota Department of Health said Monday. But there are also several cases with no apparent connection to the restaurant chain.

The four hospitalized patients — all of whom reported eating at Applebee’s — were treated mostly for dehydration and have now been discharged, according to Stephanie Meyer, a Health Department epidemiologist. The 13 affected by the outbreak, ages 16 to 84, are all recovered or currently recovering.

E. coli is a bacterial infection that can cause stomach cramps and severe diarrhea. Most patients recover within five to 10 days, but the disease can cause serious complications, particularly in the elderly, young children and people with weakened immune systems.

Insulting to eat out and pay $$ for food/service and get sick as a result. We ate at Red Lobster and got sick and have never gone back, it's been 30 years of boycotting. We had nasty acid reflex for months, don't know what it was but havn't returned to that rat hole.

I have two people at home who ate at an Applebees yesterday. They are now sick as dogs and one of them is 8 1/2 months pregnant.

Holy crap! I would hardly call this fine dining. People who eat at these places are going to eat gallons of sputum, boogers, and poop over the years. What kind of people do you think work back there.

I had a ribeye steak at that place once. It was shaped like a foot and as tough as shoe leather. On my way out a homeless man with one shoe asked me for spare change. Apparently that steak didn't come off the Sysco truck.

If you look in the back of almost any restaurant you will see people who don't speak English and may be illegal. They don't have the same hygiene habits that we do. I avoid anything that isn't well cooked, but I prefer to eat at home.

Something with chicken and I believe it was the one in Cambridge.
It's always the damned chicken.
