For 95% Of Americans, Obamacare Will Cost Much Less Than Expected

When uninsured Americans begin enrolling in Obamacare’s new health care exchanges on Oct. 1, the overwhelming majority — 95 percent — will face health care premiums that are 16 percent lower, on average, than the government had previously projected, according to a new report released on Wednesday by the Obama administration.

In the 36 states where the federal government supports or fully runs the Health Insurance Marketplace, a 27-year old who does not qualify for tax credits will pay, on average,$163 for a plan that covers approximately 60 percent of health care expenses (a so-called bronze-level plan), while a 27-year-old with an income of $25,000 could pay $83 dollars per-month after subsidies. Individuals up to 30 years old will also have the option of buying cheaper catastrophic coverage outside of the marketplaces, though they will not qualify for subsidies. A family of four in Texas with an income of $50,000 would pay as little as “$57 per month for the lowest bronze plan after tax credits,” the report finds.

Premiums vary across the country, however. While states like Wyoming and Indiana will experience some of the highest premiums, Tennessee and Kansas will see lower costs. The uninsured in Florida and Texas — two states where Republican lawmakers have staunchly refused to implement the law — will see premiums “roughly in line or lower than health insurance costs in many other exchanges across the nation.” The national average for a midlevel policy is $328 a month before subsidies.

Older Americans insurance will sky rocket to pay for the non workers on Public Assistance. Seniors on Medicare will face more limitations and denials. 20 thousand pages that nobody really knows what is all in it including the senators. Cruz should have started reading it the minute he got his turn to speak. I don't really care about star wars!

Not to mention all of the additional taxes the middle class will have to play in order for Obamacare to stay afloat.

No more calling this Boondoggle "Obamacare"

From now on, I am going with the Peoples Demokrat Party NEWSPEAK with this.

"Affordable Care Act" perfectly describes what the criminals in Lleadership of the Fascists at the Demokrat Party have imposed on We The People with this Collectivisation of 1/6 th of our Economy.

By any measure this invasion of Americans Privacy, forced Collectivisation of the people into Medical Camps, Governing Authority dictating rules for the Market and availability to access services, and the Legalized Looting of the pocketbooks of the Productive, to redistribute to the Dependent is a Constitutional Crisis!

You ask "what High Crimes and Misdemeanors has Barry Soetoro committed?"

WTF!

With the Royal Pen, King Barry has Bastardized this Boondoggle even more than one would think possible.

An exemption here, a Waiver there, a Buddy Deal on the side, Barry the Great Class Warrior has been using his Royal Pen for 5 years to divide the "Folks" by issuing edicts that enhance the Political Aspirations of the Sheeples Plantation Masters....Not just with the Affordable Care Act, but everywhere his Handlers see and Opportunity to purchase their Sheeples Votes!

How would Obama and Congress know if it's "affordable" or not. They didn't even read the effing thing. They just followed the party bouncing ball and signed off.

This thread is called "For 95% Of Americans, Obamacare Will Cost Much Less Than Expected"

That I an outright lie. It will be far more expensive But the payment methods will be buried as subsidies that are paid for by tax increases on the middle class.

This Obamacare thread is a great example of the mob mentality of the Left in this county today. If you can fool 51% of the people into voting for you and your party, you can legislate away all the freedoms in the Constitution.

What? No wonder you're a lefty extremist. Based on your reply, it's apparent you can't quite make in the real world and need 'help' from the government.

You really think you got me there, doncha?

Romney?

What a dope.

And what about that two-faced hoe, moron?

Your LAST renewal had to do with Obamacare? hahaha I don't think so!
Your rates dropping had more to do with a reduction in coverage/ higher deductable is my bet!

Since the insurance exchanges aren't open yet, are you saying that the cost of health insurance is falling all by itself?

Seems funny that when health care costs rise - even though the rise is smaller than in the Bush years - the Republicans blame Obama. But when health care costs remain steady or drop, Republicans don't give Obama any of the credit due him.

A friend was in the cardiac unit in St Mary's in Duluth. A guy in the room with him was from the far north end of Upper Lake Manitou in Onterio. Turns out he had a heart attack and a float plane picked him up and flew him to the Falls where a jet helicopter flew him to Duluth.

He said the Canadian government pays for the treatment and associated cost.

Question: if they use the USA healthcare system then shouldn't pay for one of the plans under ObamaCare? Once implemented everyone in the USA will have to buy one of the plans offerred OR pay a fine.

Look at how low the rates are in California. And EVERYONE will now have insurance at prices they can afford.

You get your health care for free. even though you were forced out of the military. All you care about is getting yours for free, not anyone else.
