BROOKSVILLE — A lengthy history of unreported domestic abuse preceded the death of Brooksville contractor Shawn Moore, who was shot by his wife, Jeanne, inside their Weatherly Road residence Thursday evening, the Hernando County Sheriff's Office said.
According to a Sheriff's Office news release issued Friday, Shawn Moore, 44, left home Wednesday, on Christmas Day, after a domestic dispute with his wife, but returned Thursday shortly before 6 p.m., at which time another disturbance ensued.
Authorities said they found Shawn Moore dead at the scene. They did not reveal how many times he had been shot.
