Oh, paleeze! Minnesota should legalize every aspect of marihuana for consenting adults! We don't need no stinkin' babysitters tellin' us how to live. Some of the most productive people I know have been stoners for decades!

they are talking about the subspecies of the plant that was the poor man's crop. the type that is used in production of items one does not smoke. since it has less than 3% of the compounds that other species has.
.
the stuff is used for things like rope, paper, recyclable plastics, cloth, etc..... the rope from this form of hemp has been used on boats for centuries. as well around the house to hold and tie up things and at times people.
.
you have to remember that not all species of the cannabis plants have the same amount of the stuff that can get folks high. the one they are talking about has much less of the THC than the subspecies that do have a much higher content of it.
.
http://www.ehow.com/about_5064176_hemp-rope.h... A hemp rope is made from fibers of a plant in the cannabis family. The long fibers of the plants are twisted, braided or wound together to form a long rope of various thickness, and smaller ropes can be wound together to make thicker ropes. Historically, hemp ropes were used for climbing, shipping, fishing, horsemanship and construction. They are less widely used now due to the decline in industrial hemp production and wider availability of alternative rope fibers.
.
http://www.fibre2fashion.com/industry-article... Hemp is one of the oldest crops domesticated by man. The history of hemp in Holland also goes back for thousands of years. The stalk of the hemp-plant produces one of the strongest natural fibres that were used to make things like rope, textile and paper. Also the seed of the hemp-plant contains high-grade food oil that was also used for lamp oil, the production of paint and (green!) soap.
,
the seeds from this type of cannabis has for many years also been a major part of bird seed. the food fed to birds.
.
if you tried to smoke this species of cannabis they are talking about. it would take you much more joints than the species of cannabis that is used like in medical pot. maybe as ten times the amount if not more.

I know what "ditch weed" is, that's why I said "every aspect of marihuana" should be legal.
I don't smoke, but my parents were in the arts and many of their very successful friends were known to blow a little dope now and then! LOL

When you learn to read, we will have a big ol' pot party for you.
I never said my parents smoked, I said their friends.
But what twisted logic would lead someone to compare pot smoking with murder. You need help!!!!

I think you meant 'comparable' genius! You're right though, that's why every crime gets the exact same punishment. It's a shame you're too scared to go to that MENSA meeting with me. Learn the meaning of 'troll' first though, you might embarrass me!(I think embarrassed is a feeling you've never had!) LMFAO

Slew slew is too scared to come out of the attic over his moms garage. I keep telling he/she/it to keep a sharp eye for the RIF trucks in the neighborhood.

Getting back on topic, I agree that every aspect of production of that plant species should be legal. But especially the production of hemp which would be a perfect substitute for ethanol from corn and a strong competitor for that honor.

I have NO qualms about the poor man's crop being grown. since it is at least a USEFUL item. it WAS one of the crops of a descendant of a Arab grew. that being Thomas Jefferson.
.
the only time the other stuff is useful. is to help those who might have a problem dealing with chemo.

both trolls again have assumed something wrong about me.
.
I have never been high in my life. I don't do 'recreational' drugs like pot, coke, meth, etc.... life is too short to wreak it by getting stoned IMHO. plus, there are better things that money can go for. instead of being wasted.
.
plus as a parent, I want to make sure my daughter can hold her head up when I'm long gone and she only has memories of what life was like with me at the time I was alive.

if anyone had atken a look at what the "por man's crop" was. it was a type of hemp that is only good for fabrics, rope, paper.
.
it is NOT a smoker's type. which is why I endorsed growing the poor man's crop of cannabis. since the THC in it is super low. almost not there.

This is another area the government has no business trying to control within the private sector.

Prohibition works so well when the government imposes their rules upon the market, doesn't it?
