I didn't know we were out of the first one? Record unemployment, slow economy, gas continuing to rise, food prices rising and record food stamp recipients...

Sorry, I don't see where we disagree. In your post, I see seveal areas where our leadership should be replaced. But, for now, any department that cuts just to make sure the voting public gets hurt the most, or, for sure put, in harms way for a political statement should be looking for new management.
Sorry, an error on my part. We AGREE. However, I understand that the present "cuts" (they aren't really "cuts", they are REDUCTIONS IN SPENDING INCREASES) are to be implemented across the board, therefore, NO programs or departments get "special consideration".

Like I said, Obama and his legions had over a year to come up with constructive, effective, logical, smart, and expedient budget cuts, but came up with NONE. "Compromise" is NOT in his DNA.

I see VERY FEW departments that CAN'T deal with a minor reduction in funding, and still accomplish their mission(s). Obama is doing everything that he can to make Republicans look bad, but the taxPAYING public isn't buying it. He's making the military the sacrificial lamb, and it's disgusting. The FREELOADERS, the TAKERS, the DEADBEATS, the ILLEGAL ALIENS, those who have become (many, if not MOST, by their own choice) dependent on HUNDREDS of government programs, state and federal, are being largely UNTOUCHED.

Federal gov't workers (i.e. PUBLIC SERVANTS), who "earn" more than $150,000 a year, should be more than HAPPY to take a 10% pay CUT, for the "good of the country". After all, if they are Obama supporters, then they are SOCIALISTS, and part of being a SOCIALIST is to NOT GET RICH on the "People's behalf".

When the stock market crashes within the next year, that's when DHS will need those BILLIONS of rounds of ammo that they have stocked up on, just watch and see.

We have a record number of BILLIONAIRES, buying up all kinds of luxury goods at a record pace, from real estate to collector cars to one of the Hawaiian Islands, to gold, diamonds, high tech, private jets, yachts, most of them have so much money, they don't know where to keep it or who to give it away to. Sad, very sad.

Google and Apple are sitting on hundreds of BILLIONS of dollars of CASH, and they probably aren't the only ones. Monies that could be used to cure diseases, compensate productive workers, reward investors, pay taxes........ BUT NOOOOOOO. Can't use that cash for those "wasteful" purposes...

The richest man on the planet lives in Mexico.... Yet, MILLIONS of Mexicans can't wait to LEAVE and INVADE some other country.

I wonder what would happen if Americans had the same attitude as the Mexicans, when it comes to invading another country, say, CANADA? Would they be welcomed with "open arms", or shot at the border?

In the Washington Times:

In the internal email, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service official Charles Brown said he asked if he could try to spread out the sequester cuts in his region to minimize the impact, and he said he was told not to do anything that would lessen the dire impacts Congress had been warned of.

“We have gone on record with a notification to Congress and whoever else that ‘APHIS would eliminate assistance to producers in 24 states in managing wildlife damage to the aquaculture industry, unless they provide funding to cover the costs.’ So it is our opinion that however you manage that reduction, you need to make sure you are not contradicting what we said the impact would be,” Mr. Brown, in the internal email, said his superiors told him.
