"If it saves one childs life, it is worth it."
The question is this: How much is that worth? How much are you willing to spend to save one child's life? A million dollars? A billion dollars? A hundred trillion dollars?
You can't really put a price on that can you?
And while the goal of saving children's lives by trying to eliminate all gun deaths is honorable and makes for great PR, it is unattainable.
About 1500 children die from guns each year (in the USA).
About 16,000 children die from hunger or hunger related causes every day!(world wide)
That's about one every five seconds.
Roughly 30,000 children die from preventable diseases every day.(again, world wide)
About 16,000,000 kids go to bed hungry every night in the USA.
16,000,000!!
These facts rarely if ever hit the front page of the papers or are even discussed. There is no "outrage" in Congress or from families affected by these numbers. There is no "outrage" in the press or long interviews with the people affected.
So, in light of these facts, if you really care about the children, don't you think you need to rethink your priorities? Guns are the very least of your worries.
How much is your child worth?you golden calf worshippers types got a price for everything and everybody, when evil comes to your safehaven doorstep it will be unannouce and unwelcomed hater.

Is this a medication taken in Combination with your Thorazine?
Does it help?
We certainly hope there are no "Interaction" problems, given all the other Psychotropic Medications you are on.

Hey! Did you hear about the NRA Gun Lobbyist who was walking around the Senate Building the other day when he stopped to pick up a piece of paper and 40 plus GOP Senators had to quickly run to the bathroom to wipe the brown off their collective noses?

Prety" sad, you omit the meat and try to sell YOUR crap sandwich....

“This will allow Senators to keep negotiating,” he said.“We’re going to come back to this bill.”

Earlier Thursday, Mr. Reid vowed to continue the fight personally and said that “the brand of the Republicans is further tarnished” by voting against the will of a majority of Americans.

“Even the people selling the guns think there should some background check[s],” the Nevada Democrat said on the Senate floor.“Make no mistake — the debate is not over.”

“Republicans are in an unsustainable position,” he said.“I personally will continue this fight.”

If 90% of the people in the US agree with background checks, why didn't it pass? Could it have anything to do with nobody, not even his own party, having ANY respect for the lame duck president?

Either that or they have read his books and know exaclty what he plans to do to America.
