No. Unions provide livable wages and benefits for workers. Union members make more than nonunion workers doing the same jobs, have better benefits and more job security.
You are a freakin' idiot!

Unions do not provide any jobs. The company provides the job. There are no wages or benefits without the company. It is the company's job, not the union's or the employee's.

If you work hard for your living, you should get a living wage...unless you're a thief, who steals labor's efforts and pretends you "earned" it, like a TrashyLiar ~!

I am waiting to see employment ads for MN Slew's Hot Dog Stand where you are going to pay all your employees a minimum of $14.00 per hour plus benefits including fully paid health insurance since that is a "livable wage".

The unions provide the customers and without customers, there's no businesses.... Sorry dummy, this cycle is equally dependent on the entire system... Too bad, you can't produce, so you have to make excuses to steal another MAN'S work.

Yeah, in TrashyLiar "land" there wasn't earlier pay cuts, management bone-us-es, a $125k per month CEO, a bankruptcy, unpaid pension benefits, and ...

American workers aren't valuable enough, to expect a fair day's work for a fair days pay...

I simply cannot understand how people, who "think" like you...LOST THE ELECTION ~~!!!???

Especially, since you "worked" 2 1/4 hours to "make your bones" ???

Maybe if Slew offered Obamaphones as part of his benefit program he could get lots of people to apply for work at his hot dog stand.

You are right. The twisted mind of an extremist nutjob is disturbing. Sludge is one of the best arguments for making people pass a competency test prior to voting.

"Previous votes were by wider margins, and the ranks of workers have thinned by half this time around, the Star Tribune reported last week; many have quit or moved away."
Read that to say retired, moved on to better jobs, or went back to school...
Of course, it's poor management, AGAIN/ALWAYS...
But union leaders say the contract would “dismantle union workers’ health coverage,” and also compromises safety and product quality with a disregard for the value of union workers.
In advance of the vote, the union had been emphasizing the grower-owned cooperative’s diminished financial performance since the lockout began.
How they hell do you have any clue if they moved on to better jobs or went back to school?

Locked-out American Crystal workers vote down contract in fourth vote
Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal by Mark Reilly, Managing Editor
Date: Monday, December 3, 2012, 7:19am CST
American Crystal Sugar workers once again rejected the company's contract offer, 16 months after being locked out in a labor dispute.
Minnesota Public Radio reports that 55 percent of the workers rejected the contract in a vote on Saturday, the fourth time the union has voted down virtually the same offer from the company's Moorhead, Minn., factory.
Previous votes were by wider margins, and the ranks of workers have thinned by half this time around, the Star Tribune reported last week; many have quit or moved away.
