70 yr. old Ohio Republican Voter: "Iíve Never Seen Such HATE as This Year in the Republican Party"

The Columbus Dispatch just released a poll from Ohio that has Obama up by 9(!) points, 51 to 42 percent. The Dispatch also printed an article that explains why Obama currently has such a large lead in Ohio. Some of the factors are that Seniors are split virtually even in their support and this demographic is not giving Romney the support that he would need to win and President Obama is drawing more support from Republicans than Romney is from Democrats.
.

The gentleman quoted in the title, Wayne Butterfass, a 70 year old, retired, former small business owner from Cincinnati, shows that the growing extremism in the Republican Party is also having a negative effect on the Romney candidacy:

ďObama was handed an economy on the skids, after eight years of Bush,Ē Butterfass said in an email.ďAll he ever did was think about war. Iím afraid Romney will do the same, especially the trickle-down theory.
ďI donít know why any woman or gay would ever vote for Romney. All you have to do is look at the Republican platform. Iíve never seen such HATE this year in the Republican Party, national or state.Ē
Conservatives may delude themselves into thinking that all would be fine and dandy if they had only elected a "true conservative" candidate, but when a 70 yr. old, retired, former small business owner from Cincinnati, who has voted Republican virtually all his life, starts getting upset over all the hate exuding from the current crop of Republicans, then not only is your Presidential candidate in trouble, your brand is in trouble, too.

A surge of Democratic support for Obama has transformed the race since the first Dispatch Poll had the two dead-even at 45 percent just before the Republican National Convention in late August.
The survey is the fifth major poll ó from The Washington Post to Fox News ó of Ohio voters in a week to show the president ahead by 5 to 10 points. He also leads in surveys of most of the remaining swing states.

Obamaís rise comes at an especially fortuitous time for the Democrat: Ohioans begin casting early ballots in two days.
