You are unable to link the resulting company failures and problems with the inputs.

Hostess' unions would not let Twinkies be shipped in the same trucks with bread, etc. Union contracts prohibited cost savings, like many union contracts do, they protect jobs at the expense of remaining competitive in the marketplace. Ultimately, companies have to declare bankruptcy to get out from under onerous union contracts.

Blame Hostess' management, but its really the bakers union that lost all the jobs in this iteration of bankruptcy.

No, actually it was a management that refused to negotiate in good faith with its employees. The time has come for workers to stand up against tyrants.
The bankruptcy court judge set the contract reduction.

The judge approves the plan, or doesn't approve the plan. Period. I suggest those union twinkie workers find something else to put their creme filling in, they won't get on at the new company.

Who really won the depression? It wasn't the poor and working people Bob. The fiscal cliff is going to hurt the poor and lower middle class a lot more than it hurts the rich.

No. Ultimately the fiscal cliff will hurt the rich more as the Republicans will get voted out in droves in 2014 if it happens.
Unlikely, the dems that get voted in will reinforce the cycle like they did under FDR and extend the hardships for the poor over decades, eventually the poor wake up and see that the Dems are hurting, rather than helping them.

You are wrong, again.

Each side argues their position in front of the Judge, he then decides what terms are acceptable.

Gregory Rayburn, Hostess Acting CEO, Won't Participate In Company-Wide Pay Cut

The acting CEO of Hostess Brands, the failed Twinkies-maker, will not take part in a company-wide pay cut.

Though he imposed an 8 percent pay cut for all Hostess workers, Gregory Rayburn's monthly $125,000 pay -- or $1.5 million a year -- will remain unchanged, a company spokesman told The Huffington Post on Monday. Rayburn is not on the Hostess payroll and therefore isn't subject to the imposed pay cut, the spokesman explained.

Hostess appointed Rayburn, founder and owner of Kobi Partners, a restructuring advisory firm, as acting CEO in March, two months after the company filed for bankruptcy a second time.

Hostess' liquidation plan was approved last month, as were $1.8 million in bonuses for executives. Rayburn is "not eligible to receive any bonuses, success fees, or severance," according to the spokesman.

The company's shutdown will cause about 18,000 people to lose their jobs.

5,000 idiots from the Bakery Workers Union decide they are too good to accept an 8% pay cut as decided by the Bankpuptcy Judge.

18,000 people are out of work as a result of the decision by 5,000 idiot union members.
