This is just another case of Obama carrying on policies put in place by his predecessor after 9/11.

When the so called Partiot Act was first presented to Congress, most if not all Democrats, including Senator Obama, were wholeheartedly opposed to it.
They complained about the unconstitutionality. Opposed to the detaining of prisoners without due process, opposed to "enhanced" interrogation techniques including water boarding. When Obama came in to office, it was all good. More reason to stop electing republicans and democrats.
