If only you were brave enough to apply that to the scientists who make their living from the promotion of Glowbull warming, you would understand.

"Of 2,258 peer reviewed articles on climate change from November 2012 through
December 2013, only one rejected man-made global warming."
What fool rejected Glowbull warming?
Everyone knows the globe has warmed.
We're lucky to be living in an interglacial.

Earth has warmed about 0.8º C over the last 160 years.
Imagine what it would be like if it was 0.8º C cooler.

For the last 8000 years temps have been trending downwards. Recently, we saw some slight warming but the signs of that warming ended nearly 18 years ago.

A late summer this year. And all indications point to an early winter. If global warming is coming please let it begin now!

We see ads on TV and in the papers here all the time about how BP is real bad sorry 'bout that little blowout and how they're going to do everything they can to get the water and the seabed and the economy of the Gulf back to where it was before April of 2010.

Yeah. Right. So they're appealing the $16 billion judgement.

Well, I guess we know where you deniers got your expertise in lying. You got a great teacher.

Since there is no significant amount of dispute within the scientific community on the effect of man-made Co2 in the atmosphere and its connection to global warming, making an "Appeal To Authority" using a few dissenting scientific opinions is a ludicrous rebuttal that makes you look like a nitwit.

Attacking the credibility of mainstream science is stupid. Their are plenty of 'cross checks' from competition within such physical science to ensure against the type of 'global conspiracy theory' you are dim enough to promote.,

Even if the academic and organizational authorities that pass judgement (the science academies) hadn't backed the science with position statements accurately reflecting the current consensus science. Your 'fringe radical' scientists and politically motivated blog references are the ones that lack credibility.

Yes.. there are certainly long term factors such as continental drift, changes in the composition of the atmosphere, etc that can affect global climate. However, you do not show that these factors have ANY relevance to AGW warming which is from man made emissions and over a much shorter time period than the geological record.
As to so what, the economic and social costs are still being added and certainly add up to a 'what' for US.

No. Rebuttal of an irrelevant fact is not 'denial'.

Ecological suicide is a by-product of capitalism.
Corporations cannot be induced to subordinate profit to "save the earth." And upper management faces relentless pressure from investor-shareholders to maximize profits.
It's a complex problem. To generate profit, business must cut labor costs and utilize natural resources regardless of damage caused. Hence, corporations have shipped jobs overseas and are efficiently liquidating every natural resource on the planet to maximize profit; they have no option, it's what shareholders demand.
The minute anyone suggests companies like Dow Chemical reduce their carbon footprint, they’re talking about violating capitalists’“freedom” to produce and sell whatever they like, and consumer “free choice” to buy whatever they want. Even liberal environmentally-minded college professors do not want to screw with the market -- that could lead to devastation of their financial portfolio.
To solve the problem of Co2 emissions and other environmental damage, we must eliminate the freedom of capitalists to produce and sell as they please. You are appalled, yes? Isn't such a philosophy incompatible with capitalist property and capitalist organization of production? Wouldn't it require a restructuring of our economy?
If capitalist growth can’t be stopped, and if the logic of capitalism for profit is destroying the planet, should we ignore the consequences or rethink an ideology that no longer works?
It's time to go back to the drawing board and abandon the antiquated idea of steady-state capitalism. Socialism? Communism? Call it whatever you like. We need a practical, economically sound ecological economy, one geared to need, not profit.
You have a choice -- save the present capitalistic model motivated by greed and profit regardless of harm caused or save yourself, the planet.
You can't save both.
Capitalists have no interest in saving the planet because they are aliens from outer space...

No, that can't be true...

We all have the right to emit and sequester as much CO2 as we please.

No right of an individual can threaten the peace and prosperity of his neighbors or the public at large. Therefore your claim is false.

You do have a right to having a stupid opinion though. You seem to be exercising that right a bit more than is rational.

As an anti-scientist, you believe in 'magic' as in it 'just happens'. Science shows that there are REASONS for every change including the ones discovered for AGW.

Ignorance will NEVER challenge the facts, so you should try to be less ignorant.

USA IS the largest polluter on earth.

In the past 30 years USA emissions have been reduced greatly:

Transportation: automobile MPG, catalytic converters, ox gas, improved highway speeds, reduced vehicle weight, LRT, buss transit, heavy rail transit, bike paths, van pools, express/pool lanes, reduction in number of workers.

HVAC: 90% furnaces, AC SEER improvements, super insulation codes, window R-improvements, geo-thermal, etc..

Appliances: microwave use, oven improvements, refridegeration improvement, dishwashers improved, etc.

Lighting: CFL LED..

etc etc....

Gotta love the way Denier wackos continue to pretend that "government grants" for science are in some way like the BILLIONS spent by Big Energy to obfuscate, attack, deny, and lie about warming and climate change.

Shows how cheap and dishonest these political types are. NEVER believe anything the Right tells you.
