Peer-Reviewed Survey Finds Majority Of Scientists Skeptical - Forbes
www.forbes.com/.../peer-reviewed-survey-finds ... ;
Instead of reading the predigested Forbes article, why didn't you read the original source material. The study clearly was designed to survey denial-ism in geoscientists working in the petroleum industry in Alberta Canada.
From the intro:
[By linking notions of the science or science fiction of climate change to the assessment of the adequacy of global and local policies and of potential organizational responses, we contribute to the understanding of defensive institutional work by professionals within petroleum companies, related industries, government regulators, and their professional association.]
While the data may be useful for understanding the beliefs of geologists and engineers in the oil industry in Alberta, it adds nothing to the research on climatology, nor does it have any impact on the consensus of scientist that work in the field. The people surveyed were expressing opinions outside their field of study, and have a vested financial interest in the denial of climate change.
