Global warming 'undeniable,' scientists say

Scientists from around the world are providing even more evidence of global warming, one day after President Barack Obama renewed his call for climate legislation. Full Story

My opinion IS serious. I have been observing weather for 70 years and it's getting HOTTER every year.
So you say it is DATA, not 'opinion'? Do you know the difference?

And warming in YOUR area does not mean warmer globally. Science determined that it is, but some areas will be cooler. People there could EQUALLY be certain that AGW is false if 'opinion' is what is discussed.

I wonder if the Australian or South African Farmer's Almanac got it right for the Southern Hemisphere winter, Jun-August?

Oh, that's right, the FA only covers the USA, which is not the world, believe it or not.

Cool post.

Btw, also Canada:

However, including Hawaii but not all the US territories.

the world????
the New York Times and the National Geographic Mag. does indeed
cover the world and both have recently reported that such
things as solar (( on the sun )) activity---which has a great affect on our
weather----goes through periods of warming and cooling--And We
Are Now In A Cooling Phase.

I guess it's hard for you to keep track.

We were talking about the Farmer's Almanac, which DOES NOT cover the world.

The sun has a great effect on the Earth; its varied perturbations don't always.

So if the sun has cooled(?), why is the Earth still warming?

Still unanswered----what caused that mini-ice age to Melt--the
one around 1100 a.d. and 1300 a.d.!!! Was it those Martians

Farmer's Almanac bases a lot of it's Weather ( weather predictions)
on Astronomical Signs. While it does indeed focus on the U.S.---
Astronomical events goes threw many phases many Phases like those
fly by Asteriods and comets that come to close to the Earth.
Still unanswered is the reports on solar activity on the sun
which also goes through phases phases phases. I suppose you
still think that the New York Times and the National Geo.Mag.
recent reports on solar activity on the sun are right wing lunacy.

Awww - you were waiting, really?

What's mini-ice age? Do you mean LIA? what's your reference to it?

There are books about LIA. Have you read them? However, Wikipedia says:

Several causes have been proposed: cyclical lows in solar radiation, heightened volcanic activity, changes in the ocean circulation, an inherent variability in global climate, or decreases in the human population.

No, I don't know any martians at LIA times. Maybe life came from Mars billions of years ago. Earthlings produce ninety million tons of ghg emissions each day... equivalent in energy to about 400,000 hiroshima's.

I know!

The wind coming off those asteroids as they pass is what causes hurricanes and tornadoes!

And since comets are mostly ice, they must be what causes snowstorms!

Solar activity on the Sun? I'm shocked! shocked to find that solar activity is going on on the Sun!

No one said anything about the NYT or NG. Farmer's Almanac was the original reference.

the NYT and the National Geographic Mag.----both Liberal Bibles----
have recently changed changed their long standing belief on how
much such things as solar activity on the sun affects our weather
how hot did it get when that last Asteriod (which was very recent)
landed. Ask the Astronauts on the Space Station about the affects
of solar activity Do you know anything about how el nino and
la nino affect the number of Hurricians or how the Jet Streams
which also change--affects our weather patterns----Answer this
riddle---If it is getting hotter Why Don't we need more Carbon
emissions coming from Liberals each time they exhale---Not Less???
Still unanswered what caused all those Dinasours to Disappear??
The Weather Forecasters have had to change their Predictions---
to Fewer---Hurricanes this Year because it has gotten
Cooler Cooler Cooler not Hotter.

Dumbazz denier fallacy #2 - "It's cold somewhere ..." raises its ugly head yet again.

Still unanswered is why you reach conclusions on the realities of AGW that are contrary to MOUNTAINS of science based on cherry-picked things like the number of predicted hurricanes.

It's like denying that objects fall because you saw a helium balloon.

Actually, there's no need to answer. There are only a few answers and you'll never admit to any of them. You're either:

1)... a paranoid, conspiracy theorist wingnut devoid of any ability to assess evidence or acknowledge refutations. IOW, exactly like a troll except you're so irrational that you actually believe what you claim to believe.

2)... an ideologue, so wedded to their ideology that even science and objective reality must take a back seat.

3)... a religious fundy that is likewise helpless in the grip of dogmatic thinking, except you reject reality with a supernatural twist.

4)... a disinformationist, somehow compensated for rejecting reality in a public forum to make reality rejection seem like a viable, mainstream position.

Cool.

My biggest complaint is the denier-walled focus on temperatures instead of moving on to solutions, especially re ocean acidification and sea-level rise.
