The U.S. approved two solar projects and one geothermal plant that will total 520 MW of capacity in Arizona and Nevada. The 100-MW Quartsize Solar Energy project will be located in Arizona, while the 350-MW Midland Solar Project and 70-MW New York Canyon Geothermal Project will be located in Nevada.

According to the Department of the Interior (DOI), each project went through extensive environmental and public review processes in order to minimize environmental and human impacts as part of its “smart-from-the-start” approach to renewable development.

“The President has called for America to continue taking bold steps on clean energy,” said the Bureau of Land Management Principal Deputy Director Neil Kornze in a statement.“Our [approach] has helped us do just that, paving the way for responsible development of utility-scale renewable energy projects in the right way and in the right places.”

What a waste! These things aren't done in the private sector because private money's not as gullible and stupid as government money.

It's not a "waste' to the home owners in those neighborhoods glad to see thousands of new good paying jobs created by the U S Energy Companies and Utilities Corporations.

translation- Makes you look as stupid, as you are...

Poor comma usage, simpleton.

You don't use a comma after "or"... unless the phrase is "stand alone" quality.

Ps- None of your words come close to quality.

So far bonds for renewable energy upgrades have all been paid off at much higher yields than they were bought for and making a good sum of profit for energy marketeers and investors. You really think Google and Walmart haven't figured all the angles before they put so much of their millions of profits into renewable energy?

Wow! You are awesome. A global warming specialist and an English major. Pat yourself on the back, and after you are done with that take the trash out, like your Mom told you to.

Simple Minds rocked. But then again, I'm just a simple man. One car, one house, and no yacht. I wonder if those who champion global warming can say that? Can you Mr. Kennedy, Ted Turner, and last but not least, well actually he did finish second in the 2000 election, Mr Al Gore. You lost to GW, YOU SUCK!
A sad case. There may not be any hope.

Not only has this one been Gored, but he Kennedied and Turnered, too!

(Reuters)- Earth experienced its fifth-hottest June on record, according to a report released on Thursday by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The average global temperatures last month of 60.54 F (15.86 C) tied with 2006, and was 1.15 F (0.64 C) above the 20th century average of 59.9 F (15.5 C), the report said.

Monthly records were broken over much of northern Canada, western Russia, southern Japan, the Philippines, part of southwestern China, and central southern Africa during June.

The United States had its 15th-warmest June on record.

Amid the heat, rainfall has been mixed this year. The U.S. East Coast was wetter than average in June, while California has had its driest year on record, the report said.

While much of the world baked, Central Asia, India and western Europe bucked the trend, with cooler temperatures than usual.

Undeniable.

June was one of the hottest such months on record globally, based on newly released data from NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The month extended the unbroken string of warmer-than-average months to 340, or a stretch of more than 28 years. That means that no one under the age of 28 has ever experienced a month in which global average temperatures were cooler than average (based on the 20th century average).
