In the late 60's, as an amateur astronomer, I had a 6 inch mirrored newtonian astronomical telescope connected to an equatorial mount & tripod. Also in the latter 60's, the Boeing 747 began test flights around the Puget Sound, being accompanied by chase planes. Even tho clumsy, & most often the image was up-side down, I could at times, use my 6 inch telescope & track the 747 around the Puget Sound to distances as far as 30 miles(probably more). At closer distances(15-20 miles), with powers as high as 100, I could see details on the chase plane, as well as on the 747. On several occasions, with the light just right, I could see the pilot & co-pilot in the cockpit! It was challenging & cool to watch this biggest jet passenger plane in operations around the Puget Sound, at great distances, but detailed.

According to radiative physics and decades of laboratory measurements, increased CO2 in the atmosphere is expected to absorb more infrared radiation as it escapes back out to space. In 1970, NASA launched the IRIS satellite measuring infrared spectra. In 1996, the Japanese Space Agency launched the IMG satellite which recorded similar observations. Both sets of data were compared to discern any changes in outgoing radiation over the 26 year period (Harries 2001). What they found was a drop in outgoing radiation at the wavelength bands that greenhouse gases such as CO2 and methane (CH4) absorb energy. The change in outgoing radiation was consistent with theoretical expectations. Thus the paper found "direct experimental evidence for a significant increase in the Earth's greenhouse effect". This result has been confirmed by subsequent papers using data from later satellites (Griggs 2004, Chen 2007).

More pictures, not an experiment on climate or climate change mitigation.

When will we see any experimental test of man made climate change?

WRONG.

It's your problem. Science and scientists march ahead while you repeat your nonsense for years and years.

Hilarious!

You have, by means of infinitely repeated - though infinitely refuted - and deeply, deeply dishonest arguments, forfeited the right to be taken seriously - or even acknowledged. So, please feel free to STFU at any time, loser

Does that make you a garbage scientist?

Jealous of scientists, aren't you?
