Same guy who whiffed on the IRS ?? Yep... Guy Issa idiot....
"At the UN, President Obama called on other countries to help us track down and eliminate radicals and extremists. But they told Obama,'Hey, the tea party is your problem, buddy.'" –Jay Leno
"These Tea Party groups are very conservative. In fact, 58 percent of Tea Party members now believe Joe Biden is a Muslim." –Jay Leno
"What a day for the tea party people. Did you see that? America’s parks and fairgrounds were lost in a sea of man-boobs. They were venting their anger and rage against taxes, which, of course, in most cases for them went down. Protesting their taxes went down – but you know, why let the truth spoil a perfectly good Klan rally." –Bill Maher
"Federal taxes last year when down for 98 percent of people, but when asked about this, only 12 percent of the Teabaggers thought this was the case. 88 percent of them had it wrong. And a spokesman for the Teabaggers said,'We don’t want to just be taxed less. We want to be taxed less by a white guy." –Bill Maher
As per usual the republicans prefer to spend their time on fabricated non-issues. The rest of the real world continues to turn. They spend their entire careers spinning their wheels 5 or 10 years behind reality. Seems like a good plan to them though.
Obama Administration Downplays Al Qaeda Threat After Embassy Closures:
In the wake of terror threats that triggered embassy closures and reports that Al Qaeda senior leadership from around the globe discussed those their plans in a conference call last week, administration officials are seemingly downplaying the veracity of the threats.
While details about the threat emerged Aug. 2 when the state department started closing embassies, President Barack Obama didn’t publicly address the Al Qaeda concerns until Aug. 6, when he appeared on Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show.”
“Terrorists depend on the idea that we’re going to be terrorized and we’re going to live our lives,” Obama told Leno.“And the odds of people dying in a terrorist attack obviously are still a lot lower than in a car accident, unfortunately.”
White House Punts on Whether CIA Employees Are Experiencing Retaliation for Talking About Benghazi:
The White House on Thursday deferred questions about whether the CIA is cracking down on employees in order to prevent leaks about last year’s terror attacks in Benghazi.
CNN reported last week that the CIA has been regularly polygraphing employees to find out if they were talking to Congress about the Sept. 11, 2011 assault that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens.
Benghazi Whistleblower: I’ve Been ‘Punished’ for Speaking Out
Gregory Hicks, the former deputy chief of mission in Libya who testified before Congress about the 9/11 attacks on an American diplomatic facility earlier this year, believes he has been “punished” for speaking out about the Obama administration’s response the night of the attack. He said he believes at least two of the Americans lost that night could have been saved if the United States had responded in time.
“I don’t know why I was punished,” Hicks said in an interview with ABC’s This Week.“I don’t know why I was shunted aside, put in a closet if you will.”
Hick said he will continue to talk about the attacks because “the American people need to have the story” of what took place that night and the four Americans who were lost in the attacks “should be remembered.” He also believes that former Navy SEALS Ty Woods and Glen Doherty, who died eight hours after the initial attack on the diplomatic mission, could have been saved.
Could it be that the main stream media is finally starting to OPEN THEIR EYES ????
Chris Wallace Grills Obama’s Chief of Staff on Benghazi
White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough failed to answer repeated questions on Sunday about why the U.S. after one year has failed to arrest Ahmed Abu Khattala, who has been charged in connection with the Benghazi attacks.
“Why is it that reporters seems to be able to find this guy, who the government is charging with involvement in Benghazi, but law enforcement can’t find him?” Fox News host Chris Wallace asked, adding “it’s been a year, sir.”
“You know what the United States does?” McDonough replied.“We track every lead until we find and can accomplish what we do.”
Quote from Rand during Huckabee’s radio show today:
“The president has assigned 7 security guards to guard the World War II monument. That’s two more than he sent to Benghazi. We’ve got more people guarding the WWII monument than we had guarding the ambassador,” Paul said.
Phony scandals don't produce body bags. Mrs. Smith testified how President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary Clinton, among other top administration officials, approached her at the casket ceremony when her son's body was returned to the U.S.
"Every one of them came up to me, gave me a big hug, and I asked them,'What happened, please tell me?' And every one of them said it was the video. And we all know that it wasn't the video. Even at that time they knew it wasn't the video. So they all lied to me."
Charles Woods, who has given similar testimony, asked a question we also have asked. Noting how he was told of a conversation by Gen. Carter Ham that assets were available to use for a rescue, but that he was not allowed to deploy those assets, Woods wondered: Why not?
As we have reported, Ham, then head of U.S. Africa Command, was relieved of his post after only a year and a half on the job. According to James S. Robbins in the Washington Times, Ham got the same emails about the terrorist attack by the al-Qaida-linked Ansar al-Sharia and immediately began organizing a rescue attempt.
Ham is said to have told the Pentagon he had a rapid response team ready, but was told to stand down. Ham then reportedly said he was going to send help anyway and was promptly relieved of his command.
Justice and State departments blocking access to survivors of Benghazi attack:
The Justice and State departments are now citing a year-old FBI investigation and a future criminal prosecution to block access to survivors of last year’s Benghazi terror attack.
In an Oct. 28 letter to Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.,the State Department’s Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs, Julia Frifield, refers to "significant risks" and "serious concerns about having the survivors of the attack submit to additional interviews."
Graham has been asking since last year for the FBI’s transcripts of interviews with State Department and CIA survivors who were evacuated to Germany after the Sep.11 attack on the U.S. consulate.
He and other Republicans believe the transcripts will show the survivors told the FBI it was a terrorist attack and made no mention of a video or anti-U.S. demonstration at the consulate.
This intelligence was likely available to the president, his national security team and U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, who five days after the assault blamed it on an anti-U.S. demonstration and inflammatory video. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/10/31/ju...
