So, is it your point that what the IRS did, and may still be doing, OK?
Sure. An unusually large number of clearly political organizations apply for tax exempt status as non-political, and the IRS needs to apply extra scrutiny to them.

MORE OBAMA LEADERSHIP

Obama Promise To 'Protect Whistleblowers' Just Disappeared From Change.gov :

The folks from the Sunlight Foundation have noticed that the Change.gov website, which was set up by the Obama transition team after the election in 2008 has suddenly been scrubbed of all of its original content. They noted that the front page had pointed to the White House website for a while, but you could still access a variety of old material and agendas. They were wondering why the administration would suddenly pull all that interesting archival information... and hit upon a clue. A little bit from the "ethics agenda":

Good job OBAMA:

In a remarkable admission that is likely to rock the Internal Revenue Service again, testimony released Thursday by House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp reveals that an agent involved in reviewing tax exempt applications from conservative groups told a committee investigator that the agency is still targeting Tea Party groups, three months after the IRS scandal erupted...

The agent said, "At this point I would send it to secondary screening, political advocacy."

The committee staffer then said, "So you would treat a Tea Party group as a political advocacy case even if there was no evidence of political activity on the application. Is that right?" The agent admitted, "Based on my current manager's direction, uh-huh."

Just ANOTHER Obama administration "mistake" I'm sure...
Rep. Justin Amash, R-Mich., said that incoming 2011 freshmen congressmen — those elected during the 2010 Tea Party wave — were not provided classified documents detailing the bulk metadata collection programs authorized by the Patriot Act prior to the law's reauthorization.

"I can now confirm that the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence did NOT, in fact, make the 2011 document available to Representatives in Congress, meaning that the large class of Representatives elected in 2010 did not receive either of the now declassified documents detailing these programs," Amash wrote on Facebook.

Obama's brother linked to Muslim Brotherhood

When Malik Obama and Sarah Obama raised money in the United States as the respective heads of foundations claiming to be charities, not only did the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) illegally grant one of them tax-deductible status retroactively, but these foundations have supported—to varying degrees—illegal operations that acquire funding for personal gain, philandering, polygamy and the promotion of Wahhabism (brand of Islam practiced by Al-Qaeda).

Asked whether the overall trajectory of race relations has been positive or negative in recent years, the chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), Rep. Marcia Fudge (D-Ohio) paused for a moment.

“Right after the election of the president, I would have thought it was going in a positive direction, but I am not so sure anymore,” she said.

Remember the German family that wanted to home school their family in the USA?

The Romeike case has been submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2010, an immigration judge granted asylum in the U.S. to the family, which fled Germany because their children were forced to go to public schools.

The Obama administration, unhappy with the outcome, appealed and obtained an order from a higher court that the family must return to Germany. The Obama administration has argued in court parents essentially have no right to determine how and what their children are taught, leaving the authority with the government.

SO, they had to go back to Germany where their four children, ages 7 to 14, have been forcibly taken from their Darmstadt, Germany, home by police armed with a battering ram, and their parents have been told they won’t see them again soon, all over the issue of homeschooling, according to a stunning new report from the Home School Legal Defense Association.

This is too funny!

The Wall Street Journal editorial board : President Obama is “recklessly” gambling with America’s credibility by “leading from behind Congress”:

President Obama’s Syrian melodrama went from bad to worse on Saturday with his surprise decision to seek Congressional approval for what he promises will be merely a limited cruise-missile bombing. Mr. Obama will now have someone else to blame if Congress blocks his mission, but in the bargain he has put at risk his credibility and America’s standing in the world with more than 40 months left in office.

This will go down as one of the stranger gambles, if not abdications, in Commander in Chief history. For days his aides had been saying the President has the Constitutional power to act alone in response to Syria’s use of chemical weapons, and that he planned to do so. On Friday, he rolled out Secretary of State John Kerry to issue a moral and strategic call to arms and declare that a response was urgent.

But on Friday night, according to leaks from this leakiest of Administrations, the President changed his mind. A military strike was not so urgent that it couldn’t wait for Congress to finish its August recess and vote the week of its return on September 9. If the point of the bombing is primarily to “send a message,” as the President says, well, then, apparently Congress must co-sign the letter and send it via snail mail.

Washington Examiner Editorial: The price of Obama's vacillation over Syria.

Few traits are less becoming in an American president than vacillation, yet in his approach to the Syrian chemical weapons attack, President Obama has given a textbook illustration of what it means to waver between differing courses of action. At first, Obama took after Teddy Roosevelt at San Juan Hill, promising to move unilaterally to strike hard at Syrian dictator Bassar al Assad. But neither the U.N. Security Council nor the Arab League endorsed military action, American public opinion opposed it, and the Congress was lukewarm at best.

Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld:

“This president has tried to blame everybody or anybody, for everything,” Rumsfeld continued.“And leadership requires that you stand up, take a position, provide clarity, and take responsibility. I can’t imagine him saying that he didn’t draw the red line. He did draw a red line. We have ears!”

Nice speach there Mr. President:

Ron Fournier - Editorial Director of National Journal
The good news is we're not at war. The bad news is … almost everything else about President Obama's handling of Syria – the fumbling and flip-flopping and marble-mouthing – undercut his credibility, and possibly with it his ability to lead the nation and world.

Peggy Noonan - Wall Street Journal

He should have canceled the speech. It was halfhearted, pro forma and strange. It added nothing, did not deepen or advance the story, was not equal to the atmosphere surrounding it, and gave no arguments John Kerry hasn’t made, often more forcefully, in the past 10 days

The president has backed away from a military strike in Syria. But he can’t acknowledge this or act as if it is true. He is acting and talking as if he’s coolly, analytically, even warily contemplating the Russian proposal and the Syrian response. The proposal, he must know, is absurd. Bashar Assad isn’t going to give up all his hidden weapons in wartime, in the middle of a conflict so bitter and severe that his forces this morning reportedly bombed parts of Damascus, the city in which he lives. In such conditions his weapons could not be fully accounted for, packed up, transported or relinquished, even if he wanted to. But it will take time—weeks, months—for the absurdity to become obvious. And it is time the president wants. Because with time, with a series of statements, negotiations, ultimatums, promises and proposals, the Syria crisis can pass. It can dissipate into the air, like gas.

The president will keep the possibility of force on the table, but really he’s lunging for a lifeline he was lucky to be thrown

Dan Mikbank - Washington Post

The president, in the space of his 16-minute address, was often at odds with himself. He spent the first 12 minutes arguing for the merits of striking Syria — and then delivered the news that he was putting military action on hold.

THANKS TO OBAMA the average household is earning like it is 1989:

A Census Bureau report released on Tuesday reveals that the typical American family now earns less than it did in 1989. In 1989, median household income was $51,681 (in current dollars). In 2012, median household income was $51,017.

Another RAT departing the sinking ship...
Lois Lerner, key player in Tea Party targeting scandal, retiring:

Lois Lerner, the IRS official at the heart of the scandal involving the targeting of Tea Party groups, is retiring.

Lerner, who headed the division in the tax-collecting agency that handles applications for tax-exempt status, had been placed on paid administrative leave in May. Calls for her dismissal came almost immediately following allegations she had participated in unfairly targeting conservative groups.

The IRS confirmed on Monday that she has resigned, though it's unclear how that decision might affect the ongoing congressional investigations into the scandal.

The IRS cites an 1884 "dead horse" law to justify trying to police tax return preparers in 2013.

The Obama administration on Tuesday defended its effort to regulate the tax return preparation business for the first time in U.S. history, basing its case largely on a 19th century law dealing with horses lost or killed in the Civil War.
