Iran and Armenia on Tuesday decided on expanding their cooperation and communication between universities of the two neighboring countries.
The rector of the Yerevan State University (ESU), Aram Simonian, during a meeting with the Speaker of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ramin Mehmanparast, held in Yerevan, capital of Armenia, requested an increase in the number of Iranian students in their country and increased university cooperation in the fields of geology, seismology and book publishing.
Iran ready to cooperate with Armenia in urban development sector
Armenian Minister of Armenian urban development Samvel Tadevosyan met with Iranís ambassador Mohammad Rayeesi.
Minister Tadevosyan highly assessed the friendly relations between Armenia and Iran, noting that such meetings contribute to deepening of relations. Itís noteworthy that under the memorandum of understanding signed during Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental meeting, it was offered to discuss the possible signing of the cooperation program between the two countriesí ministries of urban development.
Ambassador Rayeesi expressed Iranís readiness as to the cooperation program on urban development.
Earthquake resistant construction projects, organization of trainings and scientific seminars, as well as joint projects were further discussed, the ministryís press service reported.
