Twins manager Gardenhire backs off on possibility of pulling Liriano from rotation

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire this afternoon backed off statements he made earlier in the day during an interview on KSTP-AM 1500 when he said that if Francisco Liriano isn't better in his next outing the team would consider removing him from the starting rotation. Read more

Maybe if Liriano got a little bench time he wouldnt be such a headcase. He would want to play and get something started.

This team needs to get slapped around a bit!

This guy is obviously a head case, which makes you wonder why they keep running him out there. He is terrible mechanically, and if he has not learned by now how to pitch, he never will. Twins should have traded him after last season, when he was lucky enough to go 14-10. Now he is worthless.

Another effective intervention from Gardy, he's sure made a lot of great moves since shutting down the twins 2 weeks before the playoffs last year.

It seems as if Liriano is a rookie every season that he plays. It's always a new beginning.

Although Burnett got some tough breaks against KC, one has to wonder why he was the Twins' first choice to come up and join the team. Hacker had done a good job, and Hacker had pitched very well in AAA. It's unclear exactly why he got sent down unless it was simply to bring up Swarzak to start a game. Maybe the Twins can't yo-yo Hacker as much because he has more time in baseball than Burnett. Still, Burnett doesn't seem to be quite ready for the majors.

It doesn't matter who pitches... look at these MORONS OFFENSE:

29th: Runs, RBIs, OBP, SLG
25th: stolen bases
24th: hits
23rd: batting average

Nolan Ryan
Bob Gibson
Pedro Martinez
Sandy Koufax
Satchel Paige
and Dennis Eckersley (ALL IN THEIR PRIME)
