You have a mental obession with the outlet mall.
A blighted area - a nearly vacant decaying mall - will be rebuilt as a beautiful addition to the city, will add thousands of long term jobs and several hundred construction jobs, and will add to the city tax base.
Plus this will spur development on the remaining 15 or so acres and areas around the outlet mall.
This is a win-win proposition for Eagan - only a fool could fail to see this.
And you have a mental obsession with getting the last post in on every thread low integrity poster.

Eagan sold 29 acres to a developer. Eagan must use 6 acres to build a parking lot at a cost of Eagan of $15 million. 45 acres beginning minus 35 acres equals 10 acres mr low integrity poster.

It is not a win win proposition for Eagan's taxpayers, or for the small businesses Eagan drove out to give $40 million in corporate welfare to Paragon.

Eagan, come for the eminent domain, stay for the outlet mall.

How was the site for Thompson/West acquired? Were they offered other perts for moving to Eagan? Do you think it worked in the city's interest?

Thompson/West was a parcel identified for sale, the private owner sold it. West bought the land, West built the buildings, Eagan may have given a few years of preferential tax treatment, but it wasn't taken by eminent domain and given to a larger corporate entity with better lawyers.

Which employer pays better, Saks fifth avenue for part time retail help, or Thompson/Reuters for white collar jobs? I am sure you will make the case for your outlet mall again, and again, and again, and as you lose each successive point, you make a new insult line to add to your low value, low integrity posts.

Eagan, come for the eminent domain, stay for the outlet mall.

No funnier than you using low paying jobs as a reason to build the outlet mall, mr everyone "deserves" a good paying job. Does your head hurt more just before it starts to spin, or more after you spew thick green pea soup out?

No, I am for jobs in general, and think that the outlet mall will provide some jobs. I just find it highly amusing that you would be selling low paying part time retail jobs as a reason to support the outlet mall.

Are you a union organizer and want to get in there and organize all those people at once, taking competitive pricing away from the outlet mall and forcing it to close? Good plan mr low integrity poster.
