Well, Minnesotans do try to be 'oh so European' with our trains, cafe's, and taxes.

I can just see John Cleese training the volunteer wildlife handlers,(Chapman, Idle dressed as a woman, Gilliam, Palin), then literally sending them to the wolves, and having them return bloodied, missing hands and fingers, etc. but ready to go back out and have at it again.
