(Reuters)- Over two million people have enrolled in health insurance plans through the federally run HealthCare.gov and state healthcare enrollment websites, a U.S. administration official said on Tuesday.

HealthCare.gov covers 36 states, and another 14 states have their own websites. While short of the 3.3 million enrollees the Obama administration was hoping for by now under what has become known as "Obamacare," the number is a dramatic improvement from a month ago - when barely 150,000 had signed up because of technical problems with HealthCare.gov .

Way short of the number needed ( 7 milllion I heard).
. Most that have signed up are the ones that get it subsidized, NOT the younger healthy ones needed to make it work!

Actually, the number expected to sign up on the federal and state websites was well over 10 million, probably more than 20 million.

In addition, the "story" doesn't take into account the tens of millions who had their health insurance CANCELLED because it wasn't GOOD ENOUGH.

Some "success story"..... I'd hate to see what they call "failure".

Libertards OWN the media, so whatever happens it WILL BE spun into a success story.

Because the rate has to be wrong. Nobody making $8.25 an hour can pay $750.00 a month they quoted for health insurance and still be able to rent someplace to live, let alone eat.

Even the Dems admit people are being forced to buy a product they don't want. Tyranny. Nothing less than tyranny. And blaming Republicans because,“There are millions of people out there who think it was repealed". They must be the same uninformed voters who elected this administration in the first place.

PROVIDENCE, R.I.(WPRI)- More than 20,000 Rhode Islanders have used the state's new HealthSource RI Obamacare marketplace to sign up for Medicaid, the government insurance program for low-income Americans, WPRI.com has confirmed.

The number of Medicaid sign-ups on HealthSource RI roughly quadrupled in December, jumping from 5,280 to 19,941, amid a drumbeat of publicity about deadlines to get coverage under President Obama's new health law.

HealthSource RI disclosed earlier this week that 11,305 individuals enrolled in private insurance plans through the agency between its Oct. 1 launch and Dec. 31. That would put the agency's combined total three-month enrollment at almost 33,000. It's not known how many of those people were previously uninsured.

Medicaid is already one of the largest parts of the state budget.

State lawmakers will be taking a close look at HealthSource RI in the coming months, particularly how to finance it. The agency is seeking an annual administrative budget of $17 million to $20 million, but so far no source of funding has been identified to cover the tab once federal startup funding runs out next year.

Now the Obamacare sites have sign up 6 million new Americans in the exchanges. and that's bad news for tublicans in 2014 and 2016 now because Americans will protect their investment.

You must be referring to the way he refers to Obamacare as an "investment".
