"Seeking to increase pressure on McDonalds, Wendys and other fast-food restaurants, organizers of a movement demanding a $15-an-hour wage for fast-food workers say they will sponsor one-day strikes in 100 cities on Thursday and protest activities in 100 additional cities. "
$15.00 hr. to push buttons on the fryer and start the coffee? Most of them don't know how to make change because the register tells them how or automatically dispenses the change. They don't even have to dispense drinks anymore. They make the customers do that. Thanks to automation. The right machines can do these peoples jobs for about $15.00 a month.
I don't even like McDonalds but it might be worth the indigestion if it means I get to cross a picket line.

Isn't it fun to pretend that simply because you have a job you are worth a minimum of $15 an hour plus benefits to that employer?
Keep pushing that $15 per hour figure and they will find out how fast automation can be brought forth in the fast food world.
There is a reason these are called "entry level" positions.

And while you're crossing that picket line, ask a couple of the strikers if they can make change for a dollar.
