Mark Dayton, DFL leaders reach budget deal: $2 billion in new taxes

May 12, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: TwinCities

Gov. Mark Dayton and fellow Democratic legislative leaders have reached a budget deal, saying they will increase taxes by at least $2 billion over the next two years to fill Minnesota's budget shortfall, spend more money on education and provide tax relief to property owners across the state.

$2 Billion. That ain't chump change.

Gov GoogleyEyes is going to raise taxes on all the "evil rich" that are still working and being productive.

But Gov GoogleyEyes is not going to raise taxes on the "good rich" who hide their Trust Funds in banks in South Dakota to avoid paying taxes on that money.

Gov GoogleyEyes said he would not raise taxes on anyone other than those "evil rich" that are the top 2% of wage earners in MN. Lies, lies, and morelies from the Gov and his DFL cronies.

Gas tax - UP!
Liquor tax - UP!
Sales tax - UP!
Cigarette tax - UP!

Every one of these taxes hits the poor and the middle income Minnesotan a lot harder than it hits the upper income Minnesotan.

Like I have said since the day good old Gov GoogleyEyes and his dogs moved into the mansion on Summit Av...I will pay more. But I can control my income and lessen the impact.

If you are a low or middle income Minnesotan, you will be crushed by the additional taxes.

Nice going low information voters. You elected the bi-polar Gov. You deserve what he does to you.

Marky Mark has to grow government somehow. How can you expect government to grow to unsustainable levels without increasing taxes?

All-day day care supported by taxpayers? Raising taxes to pay for this nanny state BS? WTF? Well, the DFL should grab all they can get because they won't be in power long. A DFL senate, house and Governor and what do the taxpayers get? Gay marriage, all-day day care and doubling down investments on a failed education system?

Have some of OUR money for Groceries, Doctors Visits and Medications. Will there be anything left for us middle class Seniors on fixed incomes?
At this point, Seniors should be exempt from this bazooka tax, considering most worked and paid in for Many Years.
Property tax relief isn't going to Stand. If the state lowers your tax, the city you live in can and will raise it.

Even IF cigs and alcohol cost MORE in WI, I would seriously consider buying my alcohol and tobacco from another state, so as to support those states who believe in TRUE freedom, GOD, and FAIRNESS, even if it costs me MORE to travel and BUY those products from another state, and I encourage ALL Minnesotans to do the SAME.

Sorry Dumbo. My tax rate is going down. Way down.

Did you know that if you have a residence in another state, and are physically at that home for 6 months and 1 day per year, you do not pay any Minnesota Income Taxes?

I have said it ever since Gov GoogleyEyes got in office. I can run my business from any location I choose. I do not need to be a resident of Minnesota.

As for the rest of the antics that the bi-polar Gov GoogleyEyes and his cronies in the DFL try to pull, it is very easy to move businesses these days. Hell, I have offers to buy our buildings each year for way more than they cost us. And all of the moving expenses come right off the bottom line so that our Federal Tax Liability will be zero.

Now, tell me again about me paying a higher rate.

Listen closely Dumbo...I am not unique. There are a lot of very wealthy Minnesotans who are going to be moving their money, and their tax payments to other parts of the country that do not rape you imply because you are successful and earn a good living.

Losers like you are going to rue the day you elected the Moocher Class Governor and Legislature. Enjoy your slow ride to becoming another Detroit.

No, it was not. And if it is in the future, do you think I don't already have a way to avoid paying his stupid Snowbird Tax?

If you think I am going to be stuck paying for your State financed lifestyle, you are a complete idiot. I have said it many times. I was reaching my limit on playing the silly games the DFL'ers in MN want to play.

If you think I am going to sit back and be punished for being successful, you are a fool. Upper income people are far more mobile than are lower income people. I can live anywhere I want to and still run my business.

Now, each time I set foot in the State of MN, I will be able to claim every penny spent as a legitimate business deduction. That means that not only does Gov GoogleyEyes miss out on my significant tax contributions, but the Messiah will also be missing a percentage of my Federal Tax obligation.

While you are not the brightest bulb, I am betting you know I am serious with what I have said. I am just one of many that will be leaving the State of MN.
