Hi Paula!
This'll probably be pretty simple for the Queen of Southern Cuisine, but what are grits exactly? I've eaten them, and I still can't figure it out.(and if you know how to make good grits, my dad would love for you to pass along that recipe. He's missed grits since he left Georgia.)

Grits are flakes of corn!

I like buying them, and reconstituting them with equal parts of milk and chicken stock.(Usually 2-3 parts liquid to 1 part grits/polenta)

Then I add as much cheese as I think I can get away with, a bit of chopped up fresh parsley, and a pinch or two of nutmeg. SO freaking good - am making it tonight, on hubby's request :)

On a more serious note, I'd like to know if she has any advice for making shortbread cutout cookies less aggravating.

(I'm only like 3/4 kidding on the first question. LOL, that would be awesome!)

Paula- I love watching you on TV. Eating at the Lady & Sons is on my list of dream places to eat. I have two of your cookbook- The Lady & Sons and the Lady & Sons, too.

I love to bake but I really can't cook. Any advise for me?

It's no secret that you like to use butter. ;) Is there a brand that you like? Are different brands of butter really that different? Is there a different fat content or anything? Do you prefer salted or unsalted?

Hi Paula, my husband and I love Savannah, as a surprise he proposed to me on top of the Tybee Island Lighthouse. Curious...where did Michael propose to you.

Also, if you had to choose between butter and potatoes, which one would you choose?

Hi Paula,

We love you here in our traffic department at KARE (we watch you on our lunch hour), I have just been diagnosed with Diabetes and am wondering if you have ever thought of doing a show that would convert some of your fantastic southern recipes to being "carb friendly".
