We are equally disappointed in Hopkins. The area badly needs a mass transit improvement, and light rail would result in a major increase in development along the line.

Yeah, Gov Dayton. What is wrong with you? We want you to spend billions of everyone else's tax dollars to give free train rides for our gang banger buds from Mpls. We wants our free stuff!

Mass transit benefits all sectors of society. Nice racist slam though - it shows the kind of people that are opposed to mass transit.

Does it? How does it help the farmer in Melrose whose money pays for the SW Light Rail? Or how about the woman who lives and works in Downtown Minneapolis? Her tax dollars pay for a train she never rides. What it does do is give a few people who ride the stupid thing huge subsidies on their commute to Twins games in the stadium that tax dollars built for the billionaire Pohlad family.

How does an interchange on highway 36 help a farmer in Melrose? Or a woman that lives and works on Downtown Minneapolis?
The metro area as a whole gains by having affordable mass transit.
