What's future ammo buys have to do with current incarceration costs ?? Oh right, the ACTUAL FACTS aren't in your favor, so you ignore them....

The actual facts are that they were released prior to the big, bad, sequester that the president and the senate cried wolf on.

The actual facts are they were released as a cost cutting move and given the sequester was coming, it was inevitable, right child ??? Oh yeah, teabagger "logic", second guessing is impotent.

Releasing criminals to save money is always a good decision. Certainly justifies buying billions of rounds of ammo so they can go out and round them up again. Don't you think?

And it verifies their implication (fear mongering) that if funding is cut the public will suffer the most because of all those bad people running loose and it's all the fault of congress.

So, how was it a White House call, again ??

"Morton told lawmakers Thursday that the decision to release the immigrants was not discussed in advance with political appointees, including those in the White House or Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. He said the pending automatic cuts known as sequestration was "driving in the background."

"We were trying to live within the budget that Congress had provided us," Morton told lawmakers. "This was not a White House call. I take full responsibility."

I'm glad to know there will be in increase of drunk Mexicans on the highways. I hope they plow into some liberal families.

"Other people released include immigrants who had faced multiple drunken driving offenses, misdemeanor crimes and traffic offenses, Morton said."

They should all have been deported a long time ago. Could have save the INS a bundle. At $164.00 per day per inmate, they could have chartered buses to dump them across the border under guard.
And is seems that again, they can't get their stories straight and end up looking like the liars they are.

The Associated Press, citing internal budget documents, reported exclusively on March 1 that the administration had released more than 2,000 illegal immigrants since Feb. 15 and planned to release 3,000 more in March due to looming budget cuts, but Napolitano said days later that the AP's report was "not really accurate" and that the story had developed "its own mythology."

"Several hundred are related to sequester, but it wasn't thousands," Napolitano said March 4 at a Politico-sponsored event

As always, racists freely blame/attack anyone, rather than face their "problems". I expect to give and receive due process and you'd deny it to "accused" minorities...

The fact is that YOUR president directed his federal agencies to cut in the most outlandish and Slewpid areas. Letting criminals out of jail just to prove a point should be something every citizen gets upset about. Who you get upset at depends on how his media spins or suppresses the story. Or in the case of Slew, it is Bush's fault.
