$27.6 million is 60% of the planning costs? So planning will cost $46 million? Planning? Damn ... crony capitalism is alive still, isn't it?

I can't wait to see the final number for the "total project cost" for building the boondoggle choo-choo #4.

Money must grow on trees in Hennepin County these days.

Well, HEY, when they replaced the Lowry Ave. bridge, they said at first it would only cost $30 million to do it. The real bill??$130 MILLION, complete with multicolored lights, record overtime for Hennepin County employees, and get THIS, it is only 2 LANES WIDE.

Just about EVERY SINGLE ONE of those Hennepin Co. commissioners should be run out of office, especially OPAT. Jeff Johnson, who is running for governor, was the ONLY commissioner who put up a fight against this giant tax-payer paid SINKHOLE.

I remember reading about the cost over runs on the Lowry Av Bridge. And then thinking ... that is what government does.

They lie because the tax payers don't hold them accountable.

They also lie about costs to "soften the blow" knowing full well that once the project is underway, it is almost unstoppable. Crony capitalism is alive and well.
