Wow, 6 stories! That will completely destroy the charm of the area.
Isn't it about time the city gets out of the way of private development? They are lucky anyone would be willing to invest in this city.

Perhaps the 'Council' thinks a structure 6 stories high will tend to block the view of helicopters in search of perps committing the rash of student muggings in the area? Oh, that's right, students are proper fodder for the animals that prey on them, no searches are really necessary. Besides, they're too noisy, ya know.

Ahh.. Progressive White Guilt will handle this!

Just why is it that you think income, or lack thereof, should disqualify anyone from expressing his opinion?
The other question would be, how would he/she/it know if you do, or do not, pay any taxes?

I was taught that a gentleman doesn't discuss money, except in a general way.
And, since this is a private development, why is the troll blathering about taxes?
The fumes must be getting strong in her little meth-lab RV.

Not only that. Those planned buildings are supposed to go where there are currently stores that serve the college community there as a major source of employment for the students who go to the University at the time.
.
My husband & I tend to shop there at times. We have friends who own a few of the businesses there.

What does that have to do with the Dinkytown Development? If you are of such diminished capacity that you can't follow along, stay away from the computer thingy!

The troll loves to spam the same things over and over. It thinks it is making a point about the subject by saying the same thing in different threads. Not realizing that it looks like what it is, a inhabitant of the El Rey Treatment Facility.

The moniker loser who pays no taxes, wants a say in how money's spent.
Well,*I* pay TAXES of ALL TYPES, LOSER, and this is a BAD, REALLY BAD development. Maybe you should stay focused on seattle, like the LOSER you are, and quit worrying about Mpls.

Turning dinkytown into a HIGH-RISE area is a load of CRAP.

It's all about forcing people to live closely together, to use the state subsidized "lite rail" that can even pay for itself, even on it's BEST DAY. It's all about forcing people to live like rats in cages. That's what the democrats want. Because they think that it will "save the earth".
