Very few people understand what a Libertarian believes, or he stands for. They conveniently lump Libertarians into a "non-Liberal" classification and call all non-Libs evil.
Just another way for the Libs to show that their intelligence level is maxed out when they hit 16 years old.

Not necessarily...

Another issue that there seems to breed wide disagreement among libertarians is the issue of gay marriage. This seems like a strange matter to have strong disagreement over. I think the first question is, is there a libertarian view on gay marriage, any more than there is a libertarian view on whether capes are good or Beethoven is evil?It seems to me the only truly libertarian view of gay marriage is some kind of idealized standard--that is, what would be the legal status of gay marriage in a minarchy or anarchy.

Wrong. Libertarianism focus alot on individualism which fits perfectly with the belief that love is stronger than government. Libertarians generally don't care about the gay marriage issue but when asked about it they usually are against government deciding who should get married and who shouldn't. Any disagreements are minimal at most in terms of gay marriage. Abortion is a more hot button issue within the libertarian party and i am against it except for cases of rape and health of the mother.

You know one libertarian and now you know everything about them without doing any research? You suddenly have a grasp on libertarian beliefs? As far as libertarians holding office........they where created in 1971 and the republicans and democrats had a hell of a head start. Ayn rand is a women with well known libertarian beliefs and she has amazing books out there to read. Ayn rand is slowly becoming popular in colleges and university's. In my opinion liberalism is old and parts of conservatives are old and it's time to try something new.Why not mash the two together and radicalize it which is libertarianism.

Libertarianism is a completely independent form of political beliefs that takes liberal views and conservative views and puts a twist on them. As far as are agenda we want america to mind our business in foreign affairs and just let people do whatever the hell they want without government intrusion. In a libertarian world everything is legal. Take a trip to amsterdam and you might see some forms of libertarianism.

These rules are only imaginary because they haven't been tried much. You can actually find places in the world that practice forms of libertarianism such as amsterdam. As far as anything else you posted..........thanks for contributing to a political thread about politics. The candy bars are on the table.

I know these things are complex to you.
Why does the left spew ignorance on a consistent basis, if everyone knows it happened why do you need evidence?

Rather than respond to the post, you attempt to derail it, Is it because you are incapable of defending the ground you stand on?

I kind of view libertarianism as the pro-constitution party with its main voice being Ron Paul and maybe becoming Rand Paul (who gave a much better rebuttal than Rubio btw)

This is another good explanation of libertarianism. The sad thing is people lump the paul's in with neocons and refuse to realize they are not mainline republican politicians.

Unfortunately, only people who seek liberty and self determination embrace libertarianism.
Rest are sheep who wouldn't know what to do with themselves.
Therefore libertarianism can not flourish among the herds of sheep.
Most people don't know what to do with liberty.
Especially Negros.
Blacks or Africans have been so institutionalized by slavery or apartheid that like captive animals...
They don't know what to do when let loose.
They prefer zoos and institutions like the prison system to governing their own lives.
You cant bestow liberty on people who don't understand it.
They will just end up homeless and wandering aimlessly.
In order to understand the government
Understand the people that asked for this government.

Libertarianism is alive and being practiced by self-determined individuals.

By people who can UTILIZE their liberty.

But as a blanket policy among the masses of dipshits....
Just wont work....

People just wouldn't know what do to....
They don't know how to utilize it.

Therefore, intellectually superior people must excercise their liberty to "guide" and "herd" the masses of dipshits.

Liberty is not for everyone.

The masses of sheep would just wander and fall off cliffs.

Nice response. I could sh#t a better response. Stop commenting if you don't want to add to the debate. The fact that you have no idea what you are talking about is probably a sign that you should just shut the hell up before you embarrass yourself more than you already have.
