I was at first confused by the title. I thought gay maybe had two waste slider holes for added partners. Is it a requirement for all residents of the perverted liberal Northland to be homosexual?
A Superior-raised filmmaker’s documentary about the Twin Ports’ gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender history gets its premiere on Saturday at Zinema 2.
“The Main,” by Julie Casper Roth, is a documentary set around the history of the Main Club, the first bar of its kind in the area.
Roth conducted interviews with cultural analysts, members of the local GLBT community and Bob Jansen, who opened the Main Club in 1983 and has been a longtime activist in the Twin Ports.
The significance of a movie like this: history, according to the University of Minnesota Duluth’s director of GLBT Services.
“Times are changing,” said Angela Nichols.“Our culture is assimilating with the mainstream culture. It’s important that we don’t forget where our community has been as we partake in the larger social political movement.”

It's important, to know YOUR history, crassass. Glad you're exploring your sexuality, you're clearly frustrated and alone.... Of course, you're an unpleasant POS coward...
