So the incompetent Minneapolis leaders think they can buy the electric utility from XCEL and run it better than a private company AND reduce costs of electricity because they won't have to show a profit.

Well folks, many suburbs run electric utilities and the prices they charge are higher than XCEL. PLUS property taxes are higher because the electric utility employees are city employees and get better pensions and other compensation.

Lookout Minneapolis, the better Government is the smaller Government. The alternative is Socialism with no competition and Government controlling everything, like in Spain, France, Italy etc...

Minneapolis can just beg for more LGA from the state house and senate, goofy Dayton will sign it, and the rest of the state will be subsidizing the electric rates for Minneapolis through LGA contributions.
