-- Alarmed that its internal rating system revealed that some employees actually perform better than others, the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau announced in May that it was scrapping the system. Agency director Richard Cordray expressed dismay that the system failed to reveal worker disparities that matched up on the basis of age, race, union status and longevity with the agency, and said that until they find a system that proves, for example, that union members work just as well (or badly) as non-members, all employees will be paid as if they were doing excellent work. That is classic Government mentality. They want everyone to "perform" in the middle of the performance bell curve. They don't want high performers and they don't want low performers. I suppose because the high and low performers create work for mangers, and mangers don't like work. Managers are just figureheads who collect bonuses for exceptional work, like the blond VA exec who was running the death panel in Phoenix. I'm thinking she performs for her bosses in a different way.

Rutgers University survey
- One in 5 U.S. workers was laid off in the past five years
- Two in 5 U.S. workers said it took more than seven months to find employment
- One in 5 U.S. workers said that when they did find work, it was only a temporary position
- Over one in 5 U.S. workers are still unemployed
- Almost HALF of the 30 million layoff victims who found new jobs said the new jobs paid less

Special note of thanks to G.W. Obama and his corporate welfare bailouts.
